Just curious if anyone on here attended, what was discussed and who was there from the club. I'm assuming it was the usual bollocks such as 'there's money to spend,' and 'we won't be held hostage' but you never know.
I know it was ND, MArther & David Pleat who took the floor
The judges scored them a 7 for the fox trot, a 9 for the waltz but only a 4 for the rumba.
(Sorry, I've woken up in a surreal mood.)
So was this held at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground?ND, MA yes plus John Pelling plus a fourth geezer who I didn't catch the name of but certain it wasn't the man from Mundella.
First question to ND - 'Is there a problem between you and your manager?' - Batted away in terms of Great Bloke, Great Talent, this is what happens when you have an ambitious and committed guy at the helm.
Later question - ' Is there a problem with resources (money) which will will prevent us making a push for the Premier League?' - Batted away in terms of money doesn't guarantee success, pay over the odds once and you're labeled mugs for the future, PL reserve players want to keep PL wages. Nothing new.
'Are you seeking outside investment?' - No
My question to MA re Bridford stewarding and away support position batted away
!
And the disappointing thing is he kind of says he cannot really compete financially, but at the same time he wont sell up.
Or perhaps, nobody wants to buy!
Come on zorro, get real: there are billionaires queueing round the block to blow their fortunes on us. ND is just not selling because owning a heavily loss-making business makes him a fortune.
ND seems frightened to spend, always looking at clubs that have and are not performing, he then conveniently forgets the likes QPR and Cardiff who spent money and look where they are in the table and also Newcastle and West Brom who spent heavilly last Jan to get promotion and were mocked by the likes of Arthur at the end of the transfer window for buying certain types of players.
Blackpool wheeled and dealed to get promotion, and their income is far less than ours!
Must have been lovely and civilised meeting.
And the disappointing thing is he kind of says he cannot really compete financially, but at the same time he wont sell up.
No mention of what we owe him
No one aksed why we continue to lose soooo much money per season, and are in a much worse position from when he took over?
Why is David Pleat still involved?
Did he back manager, does he understand the recent comments he has made with regards to lack of backing last Jan and in Summer?
What happenened with Pratley and Whittingham deals when Arthur said they wanted to join us?
Rift with manager - its not a game....it messes with fans and players while they play politics..we are the ones that always suffer..
Buy better than what we have...... so they cant find a better player left winger than Tyson?
Going on about players not wanting to drop a division, have they not seen the Transfers made by Championship clubs (in the broken transfer market?) what he means is they want quality players but are not prepared to pay for them!!
After 11-years we are going nowhere under Doughty, and still no ambition!
What we got too look forward too? Well the new ground looking doubtful over doubts of getting World Cup but hey the way we are going we are not likely to fill it!
So if not will they improve City Ground?
And
Althought lots of players out of contract and they wont spend big, dont worry as in a few years lots of good kids are coming through (hopefully)!!
And the disappointing thing is he kind of says he cannot really compete financially, but at the same time he wont sell up.
Or perhaps, nobody wants to buy!
Typical Shane, toeing the Company line the same after all these yearsTypical Widdow, try to Hijack the thread. Instead of attempting to discuss the subject, completely go off on one of his crusades slagging off all and sundry from the club. IF you want to complain and ask a valid question to the board, join a Supporters club and vist the AGM. Only then you'll get a possible answer.
Lanky grey haired streak of piss?
Typical DanR, not funny anymore.
