His absence has proven just how vital this lad is to the way we play. I bloody love him.

We've looked so devoid of pace & ideas without him. He's such a threat- the opposition can never relax for a second with him on the pitch. He's on his way to forming an undroppable trio with MGW & Taiwo. No team in the league will fancy facing those 3 🤩

What a signing for £15m.

Needs to spend every waking minute next week practicing his finishing. This is getting silly now.
Console yourself in that it would have been VAR offside if he put it in the net.

He got everything right on that second half chance except getting it the right side of the post. Shame - you could see how gutted he was as he knew that was hig chance.

I really like him - positive player and has bigger impact than I expected already this year. Puts a shift in too. They double up on him at times first half today too which says a lot. Couple of times folk made the wrong decision in playing him in too.

End of the day, if he was everything he is and that consistent, we wouldn't have bought him for £15m. Think Tony has already demonstrated he's got serious potential and I think especially with Wood, he has a good partnership. Goal in the next couple games and he'll be back.

In my early days playing someone once told me that wingers are players that aren't good enough to be strikers (although they clearly have attributes that strikers don't possess). That's always stuck with me and I've continually seen it over the years and you see it when wingers are played up front. Then you have Ronaldo who was too good to be a winger and he went to another level when he switched to being a striker.

Is it true that all players that aren't strikers are just failed at some thing?

Goal- keepers, failed out field players.

Defenders, failed humans.

Fullbacks, failed wingers.

Wingers, failed strikers.

Strikers, failed Gods.

I'll buy into that. Especially as Felipe is the exception that proves the rule.

Going through a bit of a rough patch after an excellent start here. As to be expected.

Hopefully he'll be back on it for the run-in - along with Taiwo. 💪🏻
