Don't know much about him but the whole experienced type and kid for the same spot is something I'm very up for.

Clearly further on in his development than the city kid talked about too.

i would rather have borges tbh , elanga is very much like cho but without the injuries. dealing with man u is too much of a hassle.

Ticks the box of able to play across the front line too...
Yeah plenty of versatility. I think if we're gonna sign a left winger it's handy if they can play as a striker like Elanga or as a 10 as well like Willian...

Here's Elanga across his career so far:

And here's Willian:

Not convinced he has anywhere near the same ability as CHO. Has the upside of being injury free.

Strikes me as the type that Everton historically hoover up from Man U - like your cleverleys, gibsons, Keanes that you think’ll be decent as they are from United but turns out the reason they are off is because they are bang average.

If we get him though I’ll be hoping he is world class

I thought he was a decent player whenever I've seen him, dealing in any capacity with those manc knobbers puts me off somewhat though.

To be fair up until fairly recently Everton have been mid table and higher bar a blip in the early 90’s. They are generally a top ten team.

So I’d be happy with being bang average where we are at the moment.

Good attacking player, poor defensively is my rating of the lad. 10mil would be top end money for me.

Two wingers linked and Johnson linked with move away. I would prefer to keep Johnson and forget those two to be honest.

U21 which is a massive plus. I wouldn't want him to be the only wide forward we sign, but if it's him and another then I'm well on board.

2+2 doesn't equal 5. We've been after a lw all summer. We have 1 in Dennis and we want/are open to selling him. We need a starting LW and a back up who can ideally play on the right too.

My point is about getting lured into over paying for players that are pretty average but come from good teams.

Personally I am always cynical of a player from these types of teams that have an okay ish out put in a team largely full of much better players making any meaningful impact in a team with worse players and less of the ball

That's the risk when buying from the bigger teams. Just look at the money Liverpool and City have got for completely unproven players. Sometimes you get a Lavia, sometimes you get a Brewster.

I think CHOs potential is more exciting but I remember united fans getting pretty excited when he 'burst on to the scene' after greenwood being a shit came out. He's a full international too. I would suspect we've maybe been priced out of CHO, or we've been told he'd like to stay in London.

Utd fans are saying him and henderson for 50 to 60 million is pretty far out to lunch if you ask me though. I'd say closer to 30M. If it is, I look forward to the outrage.

It's the risk from buying from anyone. We could buy that highly rated lad from Bristol City and he turn out to be shite, Bristol also want 25m for him.

Yes, just look at how Zach Clough turned out; he was one of he hottest properties outside of the Premier League once upon a time. There's no guarantees in football.

Difference being is we have a point of reference and data of his capabilities in this league to make an actual judgement. To me that is in the prem, in a largely attacking team with good players, he hasn’t delivered much at all and the big teams often want a premium price

All clubs want a premium price, any Prem club goes for a player in the championship you can add 5m to the fee.
