Anthony David Junior Elanga

He is a wildcard and that's what you get for £15m nowadays. There is nothing to not like about this signing in my eyes.

Yeah, it's low risk even though £15m seems a lot. Like I said it's towards the top end of what I'd want us to pay but if he fulfill his potential we're laughing and if he flops and we end up selling him in a couple of seasons we'll still likely get a fair chunk of that £15m back selling him to France or Italy because he's so young and fast. I think he'll do well though.

Really good feeling about this signing. I always thought Elanga looked more 'interested' in a match than Martial ever did.

Surprised United let him go but I suppose they've got Antony, Sancho, Martial and Rashford who can all play out wide and then they're looking at Garnacho and Diallo as being too much youthful competition alongside. Seen a few United fans say he's worth more, though.

Look forward to seeing what he can do. More so look forward to the sight of him, BJ, MGW and Awoniyi all bombing on at pace.

If we can get the right platform in place we should be a threat on the counter...

Seems the more reasonable Man Utd fans like him and his attitude, most suggested he would do well with the way we play and for his development and would suit a mid table team....that will do mid table for the season top six the following.

Evening everyone, here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about Anthony Elanga in less than 3 minutes for those interested. I’ve seen every single game this lad has played at club level and think Forest have got themselves an exciting (but not elite) talent at their disposal. Will miss him for his mentality and contagious energy alone. Hope you find this useful!

Not sure what to make of this signing, for £15m it could represent excellent value in the future but he is very raw and highly inexperienced, Johnson is about a year older and has played well over double the amount of senior games.

I think Elanga has the ingredients to be a very effective player, especially in a counter-attacking system like ours but I'm not sure I'd be hanging my hat on him this season. It could work out immediately but it's a gamble with his inexperience.

Willian alongside him for a year as well would've been perfect.

He’s got a similar number of Prem appearances to Brennan (half the minutes though) and champions league experience in his locker, not to mention the elite(ish) surroundings at Man U.

Agree he needs polishing but he’s got experience of the country and league.

Apparently Elanga is very good defensively - thought I'd read on here a few times that was a weakness of his so that's a bonus.
