Agreed,
Brilliant video, well worth watching.
Sound lad, lovely mam and some brilliant mentors at Leixlip.
Anyone thinking he might not be ready to come into the side yet might be surprised.
He’ll have some great new mentors at our wonderful club in Stevie C, Alan Tate, and Andy & Stephen Reid.
Great video. Seems like a good character.

Yeah I think we'll see him before Murillo. He does have a small amount of PL experience after all.

Nothing to do with the players, of course, but glad the round of new recruit interviews is over as the same old leading questions starts to grate after a fistful
Don’t you just love the disdain with which Ange Postecoglou handles some of the inane questions he’s asked to answer.

I remember when I did the tour of the City of Manchester Stadium and we finished up in the press room. The guy sat up on the stage and answered our questions like they managers do and the tour guide emphasised just how the managers have such massive egos and their replies are the direct result of these egos plus, of course, their personalities. So one bloke might just blank awkward questions, one argue, one treat the questioner as an idiot etc.

Or, if you‘re Jose Mourinho, all three at the same time!

Can any of our Irish followers estimate why he hasn't been called up to the senior team especially when you look so light in defence with Championship and League 2 players in there? I was hoping to watch him tonight against Mbappe et al.

Family bereavement apparently. Andrew was called into the squad late but it sounds like tonight was too soon for him.

Was he not playing for Norwich because they were making sure a sale went through?
A bit concerning if he wasn’t good or important enough to get in their first 11.

He ended their season last year as captain so he was important enough for them.

I dunno why he wasn't playing in the league truth be told, I can't find anything. If the club (and many elsewhere btw) back him as a long term prospect I am happy to go along with it. None of us will know a whole load about him in reality apart from reading that he's highly rated.

Not like he is coming in to make an immediate impact anyway. His MO this season will likely be watch Felipe & be ready if your opportunity comes.

He's had a rough couple of years with injuries, the good news is that none have been recurring issues just an accumulation of different problems he's picked up. He still started 27 games + 7 sub appearances last season so he wasn't exactly stuck on the bench

He's 21, counts as a home grown player, is both quick and comfortable on the ball. You don't get too many young CB's coming through that tick that many boxes, a risk well worth taking

Fletch name dropped him on the last garibaldi podcast and I nearly had a stroke listening to it.

He joined up with the squad yesterday following a family bereavement.

It's possible he could start this evening. But given that this would be his first start of the season, would it be really wise to throw him in against Mbappé in Paris? Much as I'd love to see him get a game, I think this one is likely to be a massacre that it might be best to miss. PTSD beckons for the Irish players.
