Des Walker will take to the Approach stage on the 27th March for an Audience with hosted by BBC Sports Colin Hazelden.

Des has some brilliant anecdotes of his time with Forest under Brian Clough and Paul Hart, and as part of the management team for a short while, as well as sharing a dressing room with among others Stuart Pearce for both club and country.

Tickets £15 are on sale now from The Approach (no booking fee) or online at Gigantic (booking fee)

I went to a meet with him in a library somewhere years ago - amazingly hardly anyone turned up (it was free), it was pretty much me and my bro sitting having a chat with Des :)

Wasn't it at a David Lloyd gym? I think your brother introduced himself to me there, not sure if we knew each other then or not?

He also did a bit of raconteuring at his testimonial dinner in a double act with Pearce, very entertaining.

During those sad times of financial hardship for our woolly friends, I remember being sardined in the Osmaston End singing "We all agree, Dessie is worth more than Derby". Happy times.

Ah yes, that was it :)

Ah yes, that was it :)

My abiding memory of that was the Australian chap who didn't really know who Des was, just interested in sport in general, putting his foot in it.

Punter: "What was the proudest moment in your Forest career?"

Des: "Probably playing in the FA Cup Final. Apart from extra time, of course."

Australian: "What happened in extra time?"

Des: "Someone else tell him..."

I'm going in t'posh seats, where I belong, like.
