Nottingham Forest is pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Adnan Kanuric.

The 22-year-old Bosnian already has experience of playing in England during a two-year spell at Stoke City before moving to Slovakian side ŠKF Sered in 2020.

Most recently with Bosnian outfit FK Sarajevo, Kanuric made two appearances in the Europa Conference League qualifiers at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign.

The former Red Bull Salzburg academy shot-stopper was born in Austria but holds Bosnian citizenship and has three U21 caps for his country.

A free agent I guess?

It's surprising to see us adding another tho!

What a random signing.

Someone on Twitter makes a good point that Hendo is not our keeper and will return to Man Utd at the end of the season; Hennesey is 96 years old and might play on might not; and Jordan Smith's contract will come to end.

This keeper is probably going to be inline to step up next season.

Don't forget Hennessey has a secondment in the Gestapo coming up as well.

Probably one for the U23s, given that we can't register him as part of the 25 man squad I assume?

Although I can't see him joining the 25-man squad this season unless there's an injury, he could still train with the first-team squad but be used by the U23s as some of the other players, like Mbe Soh, are occasionally.

Can't Play Left-Back
Nottingham Forest: Hi everyone, my name is Nottingham Forest, and I am a signingsaholic. It all started when I came into some money. First, I only bought what I needed; I fell out with my goalkeeper, my loan players went back and my captain moved overseas. So I needed the players. But pretty soon I was signing a player every other day. I loved the attention and the way it made me feel. Even the ridicule from TalkSport and Richard Keys made me more determined to do it. The money started to disappear and the wage bill was increasing. Eventually, I was signing goalkeepers that had only really played for Grantham on loan, even though I was Premier League. I was hoarding players for no reason. That's when I knew I needed help!

Fulham FC: Thank you Forest, that was very brave. Round of applause for Nottingham Forest everyone. Okay who's next?

Derby County: Hi my name's Derby, and I signed Martyn Waghorn for £5m even though I had no money, screwed over everyone I know and refused to pay my taxes for years. Now, everyone in the football community hates me.

Fulham FC: See Forest, it could be worse!

Good move: we won't be getting Henderson next season.
He will either stay at United as their Number 1 keeper (unlikely), or be sold to the highest bidder... and that probably wont be us).

Evan Horvarth is still ours too, and has been doing pretty well at Luton.

Evening everyone, here’s a short video detailing why Forest have signed Adnan Kanuric as well as some background about his career thus far for those interested.

On a side note, I had a brief chat with this lad on DM to congratulate him on signing for Forest and he genuinely seemed like one of the nicest blokes you could ever come across. Really hope he makes it here.

Couldn’t get in the Grantham side a few seasons back…now signs for PL club…quite a turnaround in form! Probably on very low wages so a safe gamble for us / not huge cost if he doesn’t make the first team in the future.

I really don't understand your loan system. Why send him to semi-professional football and not to a team abroad?

In this case, it's probably a different answer to the usual one.

We're probably doing someone there a favour. They needed a keeper, asked about him, and we said sure.

I don't think Kanuric was signed in the first place, or sent on this loan, with the intention that he can be developed further. I may be wrong on this but, maybe with the exception of the odd unreported closed doors match, I don't think he's played a minute of football for us at any level (u21 or senior, competitive or friendly). Feels much more like we needed (at the time) someone who could take part training sessions, and he needed a wage so it was a good fit.

Because he's shit, no one wants him apart from Oxford FC and he won't be a Forest player for much longer.
