Does this REALLY need to be a sticky thread?

There are so many now

Not being funny mods but can you have a bit of a clean up of threads that need to be sticky?

I got suspended for a week spamming to get this pinned, this deserves to be pinned.

Out of all pinned threads, this deserves it.

Yes it does, as for there being too many sticky threads, one is a POTS poll, one is for the Billy sharp fundraiser and 2 are playoff related, all will be gone in a couple of weeks I would think

This is correct.

We inevitably have a post-season clean up each year, and will do so again once this season concludes.

There is considerable interest in Forest youth sides, given the high attention this thread gets, as it is used as a combination of match reports, and also transfers (at youth level) for all Forest sides outside the First XI.

Out of curiosity, will our under 21s be playing in the EFL trophy this season now we’ve been promoted?

Someone more connected to academy maybe have more insight into this. Wondered how getting to prem is going to impact youth players. As if we stay in this league the bar for these young lads is raised quite significantly, many will not reach this standard. suppose our draw to parents and kids should be stronger and perhaps can then compete with the big boys in chasing the top youth players. Derbys decline should also be positive for us and our status attract the top derby lads over to us.

Look at what Leicester have done with their Academy setup since they consolidated themselves in the top flight.

And yes, not all will make it at a Premier League club, but bringing in young lads and then selling them, even lower down the pyramid, brings in valuable revenue for the football club.

Good to see Dale Taylor has signed a new contract. Think he is a real talent. Among news of signing new players for many millions I hope talent like Taylor gets chance to progress

First game for U21s tonight -

Smith; Biancone; Mbe Soh, McAdam; Powell, Fewster (C), Mangala, Donnelly; Hammond, Mighten, D. Taylor.

Minutes for Mangala seems a good idea, and nice to see Dale in there.

Should have put them to bed in the first half really with all the decent chances we created; a mixture of excellent goalkeeping, last ditch blocks and the woodwork denied us what could genuinely have been perhaps a 3-0 lead going into HT.

They came out much better drilled in the second half though, and the first three minutes were a bit bonkers; kick-off - goal, kick-off - goal, kick-off - goal not long after. Then they grabbed their third about 5 minutes or so later - everything they hit seemed to go in, though admittedly our defence had also lost their sturdy discipline from the first half. We had a good go at them for the rest of the game but they just about saw it out well to be fair to them. Entertaining game though.
