Aaron Ramsey [BUPA]

Stuart Pearce
Would be a really good squad player. Not a weekly starter but has all the qualities; if the deal right.

Master Yates

John Robertson
He doesn’t cover enough ground to play midfield in our system.

It’s alright signing big names, but Lingard as a player fits our tactics perfectly. Ramsey, as good as he is, does not.

Now if we were linked with someone like Wijnaldum, that I can get on board with.

Agreed on Ramsey.

Roma are very keen on Wijnaldum. There would be a fee as well as horrific wages. Can't see it myself but wouldn't be disappointed if it happened.

Please let it be true - his 10 years of experience at two of Europe's top clubs like Juventus and Arsenal, would make Ramsey a great role-model and help us get the best out of the kids.
People saying "we don't need Aaron Ramsey"????? Give your heads a shake, even with our slew of exciting signings, this will be a tough season for the Reds.
If we got lingard for 150,000, we should be able to sign Ramsey for half that

We don't, he misses more and more games each season through injury.

A fully fit Ramsey would be great but spunking millions on the off chance that happens isn't smart.

Are you actually being serious?

If so, have a day off!, Ramsey is no better that what we have AND hes always injured. Would be an absolutely terrible signing.

*shudder*

I think the Rangers fans have named him their worst ever signing.

If it was a pay as you play deal then it could be OK but not someone I would be overly keen on signing.

If this is what we need I'd rather we brought Pearce and Cohen into the coaching staff than sign Ramsey

Why on earth would we bother paying good money to Dane and co only for us to sign expensive & injury prone players like this after finally reaching the promised land. This ain’t football manager.

Hope we sign this class player to "pull the strings" in midfield and prove all the doubters wrong.
If you ask Lingard, he'd welcome have Aaron Ramsey threading through balls to the front line. Like Lingard, Ramsey would be available on a free, we just got to stump up some salary. He's more than a player, he's an icon and a mark of how far Forest have come if we can sign him

Misses the champ
I'm on the fence on this because everyone knows his injury issues but even with them it was only really last season they took a toll (he appeared only 18 times in all comps across 2 teams)

However before that he still managed 35 and 30 appearances with Juve the 2 seasons before. If he would be willing to come to us on a pay as you play deal with a modest basic salary it's be a no brainer. Especially with all our welsh lads. Anything more though and it'll risk being Harry Arter mk2

I don't have an informed current opinion of him, but I clearly recall that he looked a different class when he came here on loan. It was effectively for him to gain fitness after a lengthy injury, but his quality was palpable.

Only if we think he can play 30+ games.
Otherwise we will need someone equally good for the rest of the games and then it starts getting really expensive.
Its along the right lines though, someone who can spray passes around and create from deep.

My only concern is Ramsey and Davis both seem to be injury prone.

Garner and Ramsey? Ramsey playing when Lingard is injured and Garner has to cover #10 would work well.

Bit harsh from them as he went there basically to get fit after a bad injury and to give the dressing room as buzz, They got to a Euro cup final , He didnt play much but was on sideline giving advice.

He was utter rubbish for the month he was here on loan. Honestly he'd clearly forgotten how to play football.
