He doesn’t cover enough ground to play midfield in our system.
It’s alright signing big names, but Lingard as a player fits our tactics perfectly. Ramsey, as good as he is, does not.
Now if we were linked with someone like Wijnaldum, that I can get on board with.

Agreed on Ramsey.
Roma are very keen on Wijnaldum. There would be a fee as well as horrific wages. Can't see it myself but wouldn't be disappointed if it happened.

Please let it be true - his 10 years of experience at two of Europe's top clubs like Juventus and Arsenal, would make Ramsey a great role-model and help us get the best out of the kids.

We don't, he misses more and more games each season through injury.

I'm on the fence on this because everyone knows his injury issues but even with them it was only really last season they took a toll (he appeared only 18 times in all comps across 2 teams)
However before that he still managed 35 and 30 appearances with Juve the 2 seasons before. If he would be willing to come to us on a pay as you play deal with a modest basic salary it's be a no brainer. Especially with all our welsh lads. Anything more though and it'll risk being Harry Arter mk2

I'm pretty open on a 1 or 2 year contract. Passing and creativity isn't or strong suit and he'd most certainly help there.

I don't have an informed current opinion of him, but I clearly recall that he looked a different class when he came here on loan. It was effectively for him to gain fitness after a lengthy injury, but his quality was palpable.

Bit harsh from them as he went there basically to get fit after a bad injury and to give the dressing room as buzz, They got to a Euro cup final , He didnt play much but was on sideline giving advice.
