It's about that time of year but (perhaps unsurprisingly) no word from NFFC Towers.

The club's got some very difficult decisions to make.

A year away from the game has increased the disconnect that some fans feel. For a good number, it will be the "incentive" they need to break the cycle and not renew for the season coming.

For many, the capitulation at the end of last season, and the -frankly- turgid fare on offer will make many think long and hard about the value of renewing.

And there's a large number who, even when restrictions are lifted, will simply not be comfortable immersing themselves into the middle of a crowd of people, packed like sardines in the concourses and stairwells, and uncomfortably close even in the seats. Some of those people will perhaps want to knock it on the head, some won't.

With the uncertainty for many over jobs, pay, security etc, the club needs to think carefully about pricing. Any meaningful increase will cause a lot of "loyals" to jack it in.

And given the anger with which the botched 2020 ticket options were rightly greeted with, the club needs to be very careful how it treats its lifeblood supporters.

Perhaps an option to put a deposit down on your seat for the 2022-3 season and releasing that seat for general sale for 2021? (Unless there is huge season ticket demand this time)

Will the club go straight back to 30,000 capacity in August? If so, how many people will feel reluctant to attend after the year of lockdown and social distancing?

If not, what provision will be available and offered for an iFollow-type-service that many people have used and enjoyed this last year?

Sometimes I don't envy the club's decision-makers and this is indeed one of those times.

The only thing I will say is, "DON'T F**K THIS UP LIKE YOU DID A YEAR AGO". Many supporters are on the ragged edge of voting with their wallets and heads. NFFC should consider incentives to renew, rather than depending on blind loyalty - because that loyalty has been sorely tested this last year.

Over to you, Forest.

I want to renew. As much as the football is dogshit, I still miss match days.

I’m hoping by August we’ve all had the vaccine and we can get back to something close to normal.

I do think though, the numbers will be down for the short term. Lots of unknowns, loss of jobs, worried about another spike, shit football for what will have been 18 months by then.

Having said that, there’s also a lot of people desperate to get back to what they enjoy or others that just want to do anything to get out of the bloody house

Remind me, what was Option 1 this season?

I appear to have £146.00 as an account balance. I fully expect that to be used towards the renewal of my Season Card for 2021-2022.

Based upon the reasons above, I certainly hope that NFFC offer loyal customers an incentive to renew.

I reckon the simple answer is that there is still no clear answer regarding the pandemic and sports fans returning to grounds en masse.

Therefore what's the point in trying to sort out season tickets now?

Money. As far as the club’s concerned.

I’m sure NFFC will be looking at every opportunity to get fans to commit and part with their cash as soon as possible.

They will need to be creative as the ‘new stadium’ won’t wash this time and restrictive attendances doesn’t hold the same lure based upon the standard of football we’re experiencing.

But no one knows the future in this uncertain time.

I currently don't have a season ticket, but reading the thread from last season's debacle, why would the club, any club, create more problems when the whole of our lives is one giant puzzle?

I'm sure those who peruse stories from other websites or clubs can fill us in with information on the activities of other clubs in the issuing of their season tickets.

I have had a season ticket for the last 40 plus years and always attended with my family for a great day out, few beers, a bag of Fish and chips and a bit of banter with guys i have known for years in the main stand car park before kick off.At the moment my family are saying they have missed it but they are not sure they want to watch the garbage which is being dished out by over paid prima donnas the majority of which are stealing a bloody good living. Myself i have to say that its in my blood but i am having second thoughts for next season

No interest in getting a season ticket at the moment, it’s too much of a slog watching us on tv, never mind having to drive and walk and sit in the cold, watching little goal mouth action.

Club can't announce anything at the moment because it will be dictated by government legislation at the time (I suspect 100% capacity still won't be allowed past June) combined with the fact they need to be in a position to give ST's to the Option 1/Option 2 fans from this season who, as per the clause in the option, are theoretically meant to be able to retain the seat they had from the 19/20 season.

Bit of patience needed on this one. I doubt we'll get the full details until this season is finished.

It’s a difficult one but as an example We were members at Trent Bridge have been for years we even got married there.

But this year we have decided not to renew. They have put the price up by £35 (the biggest increase I can remember) this is after we donated our membership fee to the club last year despite not seeing any cricket (we weren’t even offered a discount for this season having done so) we had to ring them 2-3 times over a 3 month period to get our money back for all the international tickets we had purchased as well.

So they have jacked the price up after many folk donated their fees to the club last year with no discount from peoples generosity last year knowing full well that the 1st 3 CC home games no crowds will be allowed in at all. And no 1 day competition has been announced yet either so you are paying more for much less Cricket.

They are going all out on selling T20 tickets as well having no idea how many if any fans will be allowed in at that point and knowing the pain it is in getting your money back I say good luck!

Plus we are crap and haven’t won a CC game now in over 3 years and are languishing in the 2nd division.

And don’t get me started on the 100......

So we won’t be renewing thanks.

Rant over.

Despite the terrible Football, I have missed going down so will renew regardless.

Plus, I was happy with the options they offered last year & will probably have £200 credit sat in my ticket account, so it will be like paying for an U21 ticket again.

Cash is King!
I was going to go casual this season because I don’t attend night matches, so I’m unnecessarily paying for something like 7 games. But ended up renewing because of the Main Stand announcement suggesting match tickets would be difficult to get with the reduced stadium capacity.
None of that happened so definitely going casual next season.
Thing is you can’t even sell your ticket if you don’t attend, struggled to give mine away when I wasn’t going.

Mrs S and me are in wait and see mode.
We can't make a decision until we have the facts laid out: pricing, crowd limit, what happens if there is a third Covid wave (there will be I think!).
There is likely to be a lot more arm-chair fans now... TV is addictive and those who have develpoed the watching a live stream at home habit might fid it hard to break.

If anything, I'm of the completely opposite opinion of live streaming. Viewing on Ifollow has only increased my desire to watch football at the WFCG again.

As such, I'll be renewing without a moment's hesitation.

I’m with Otis on this and will be renewing three season tickets.

Frankly I can’t wait to get back to the WFCG.

It’s been a strange year with COVID and most people are suffering for many reasons.

Naturally when the team is struggling and also rarely scoring supporters get fed up.

Watching on tv is just not the same as attending matches.

I accept that some supporters will have suffered financially and can’t afford to renew.

I'm totally with you on the streaming is boring, let's get back live.
My point was that I think there will be quite a few who prefer being at home rather than at the ground.

If, as me and the Mrs have, left our refunds in our Forest account, surely the whole balance ought to be available to go towards the season ticket for 21-22?

Absolutely will renew. Will try and get to much more away matches than in recent years too.

If the last year or so has taught me anything, it's how much I love watching live football in person, regardless of how good or bad Forest are. Streaming is no substitute whatsoever.

Forest haven't said they aren't taking part in the European Super League and I think given our European pedigree, I fully expect us to receive an invite which Marinakis will then decide to put a line through our name on and write Olympiacos crudely on the top before sending back.

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone, we have won more European Cups than four of the English teams involved COMBINED.
The same amount as Juventus and more than Atletico Madrid.

Forest & Villa have won as many European cups as 50% of ESL have
