No it isn’t, not all contact is a foul. Reyna didn’t have enough contact to go down as soon as he was foot was made contact with. So to me the contact was not enough. That’s my opinion on it. I don’t want all contact to be a foul because it encourages players to throw themselves to the floor when they feel it which is what I thought Reyna did.Kicking a players foot as he's about to control the ball with it? That's a foul.
No it isn’t but we don’t want a situation where all contact is a foul.Sunday league isn't the same as Premier League football Emmo.
But it was at Old Trafford when Rashford went down after the merest touch. That's the point. No it isn’t, not all contact is a foul. Reyna didn’t have enough contact to go down as soon as he was foot was made contact with. So to me the contact was not enough. That’s my opinion on it. I don’t want all contact to be a foul because it encourages players to throw themselves to the floor when they feel it which is what I thought Reyna did.
It won't be, only if they, you know, kick someones foot from underneath them.No it isn’t but we don’t want a situation where all contact is a foul.
This.It won't be, only if they, you know, kick someones foot from underneath them.
You acknowledge contact which is a foul and a penalty. How you go down is immaterial.Of course I’ve watched it. How many people go down like that when they’ve been kicked like that? I’ve had the bottom of my boot kicked a gazillion times and never have I gone down like that. Yes there is undeniable contact but not all contact is a foul.
Spoke to a couple of grounded Everton fans on the train last night, and they were well happy to "have got away with one". They also said that they would prefer us to stay up as well.Don't blame any of you for feeling aggrieved about yesterday. All three penalty incidents were ones we couldn't have complained about if they were given. The fact that we all know that VAR wouldn't have intervened if any of them were given either makes the system a mockery, but it's also a reflection of the game that the ref had. You didn't play brilliantly (nor did we), but you still had the chances to get something out of it with Wood in the 1st half and Gibbs-White in the 2nd.
Not sure the post-match tweet was the best idea. The VAR Luton fan thing is a fair point, but I'd have wanted that to be made privately rather than call into question the integrity of a match official publicly. Still, again, I don't blame you for being annoyed and the tweet being a reflection of that. Not uncommon for one of those incidents to go against you, but three in one game must be hard to stomach. I'd probably be livid if the shoe was on the other foot.
Hope you stay up anyway. The league is, frankly, better for having Forest in it.
The rules of the tackle are pretty damn clear, Emmo.No it isn’t, not all contact is a foul. Reyna didn’t have enough contact to go down as soon as he was foot was made contact with. So to me the contact was not enough. That’s my opinion on it. I don’t want all contact to be a foul because it encourages players to throw themselves to the floor when they feel it which is what I thought Reyna did.
Rashfords was given onfield and I don’t believe that was a penno for me. However football has a problem cause some reds do see things differently and that’s a problem with the laws as they are grey areas. It’s like everyone interpretes contact differently. But it was at Old Trafford when Rashford went down after the merest touch. That's the point.

Contact isn’t a foul and we all know that and I’m not saying you don’t know anything. All I do with life is play and watch footy. I watched foot Saturday and Sunday and I’m playing 5 a side tonight. I think we are all knowledgable in our ways. If contact means foul than that’s gonna make footy shite as you will have players who feel contact throw themselves to the floor. You acknowledge contact which is a foul and a penalty. How you go down is immaterial.
What do I know having played for many years, run and managed teams, and attended more than 2,000 games?
If you believe it was not a penalty despite being given on field, it must have ranked as a clear and obvious error.Rashfords was given onfield and I don’t believe that was a penno for me. Anyone seen that interview with Young? What a cocky cnut. I hope someone snaps his legs.

This is the problem with the way VAR works. If you believe it was not a penalty despite being given on field, it must have ranked as a clear and obvious error.
VAR should have reviewed it and suggested the ref go to the monitor.
I don't think anyone disputes your assertion that not all contact is a foul.Irony with Ashley Young is he is a filthy little diver who went down under much less contact. Ashley Young is proof in case that not all contact is a foul.

Came across like he had no idea how to handle the interview to me rather than being cocky. Abrasiveness trying to mask vulnerability type vibe.
You cannot tackle from behind full stop.Contact isn’t a foul and we all know that and I’m not saying you don’t know anything. All I do with life is play and watch footy.
