Should we stay up - I don't think its beyond the realms that Gibbs-White and Murillo leave sadly
One to stay in line with PSR by selling before July and the other to gives us money to spend in the summer to improve the squad

I’m hoping Marinakis’ ire at the PL brings a change in attitude this summer, and we see multiple sponsorship deals associated with his shipping business announced.

Stadium rights, kit, back of shirt, sleeve, training gear, training ground, website, club shop, socks, car park etc all sponsored by Marinakis (or better yet, one of his Greek pals) for hundreds of millions. f*** off PL and leave us alone until you’ve done something with City first.

Hang on... how do we improve the squad by selling the 2 best players?
Why not go the whole hog?
As well as selling MGW and Murillo we could cash in on Sels (he's looking good), Vlach, Turner, Williams, Omabamideli, Toffolo, Danilo, Yates, Sangare, CHO, Elanga, and Taiwo?
We could start and build a team from scratch again...
We'd comply with PSR, and show we are serious about supporting the corrupt EPL's quest for financial stability.
Another great isea: why not trim the EPL to 6,8, or 10 clubs with no relegation or promotion.
Drop the remining clubs 14/12/10 down to the newly badged "League Championship Division 1".
No promotion from it to the stand alone EPL, but relegation to L2/3/4.
We'd move 6/8/10 clubs to make the new top Championship division a 20 team competion, move the same number up from each lower division etc.
You might think this is crazy, but effectively there is no chance of "promotion" from outside the current top 6 EPL clubs into it.
The rest might just as well go down into the new division.
Start all teams off with the same wages cap, do a separate deal for TV where every club outside of the breakaway EPL gets an equal share of any TV rights etc.
And EVERY club to be dealt with for breaching the financial sustainability rules.
And as the football clubs are a "social business", make very club publish detailed accounts every year, and the EFL to publish every teams PSR details so the fans can see xactly what is going on.

Will the deal for the EFL be competitive enough or will the break away suck up the dosh?

Currently the domestic TV deal for the the 20 team EPL is £6.7bn over 4 years.

The domestic TV for the 72 team EFL is £860m.

The difference in the international deals are more stark.

How would your proposal change this?

I've considered that: it is money that is the root of all evil and is destroying football in England.
So, whatever is negotiated is the total pot, and however much it is is equally divided up.
Clubs go the wall if their players won't accept a salary that is affordable.
That puts a lot of pofessional players out of work...
None of them are able to do much else, so they have to accept a cut, or go on the dole.
Clubs losing players either go to the Wall, or recruit players who will play for the money available, and for the sheer love of the game.
Without any fundemental change it's where football is already heading.
With significant change comes birthing pains.

I’m more worried about the 2075/76 season.

Imagine expecting a letter from the king and we have a bad season….relegation to the Tik Tok league and being snubbed out just before my 100th birthday.

That’s what I don’t get.

Man City have been taking the piss for years, with inflated sponsorship from all sorts of companies linked in some way to the nation-state that owns them.

I, for one, would gladly by a Forest shirt sponsored by „Big Evangelos Kebap Shop and Chippy“ of Piraeus, or something.

I don’t care if the club has front, back, side, and sleeve sponsors and stadium naming rights (everyone will still call it the City Ground anyway) if it’s a way to pump money into the club.

Player individual kit sponsorship at £1m a pop by Mr. E. Marinakis of Greece?

Bring the f***er on.

I was fairly happy with the 4 tbh. If we’d pulled our finger out a bit in recent weeks we could still have had a buffer.
The reason why a four point penalty feels so harsh to some is because, let's be frank, swapping Cooper out for Santo has made 5/8ths of bugger all difference. We should have had far more than a 3 point buffer over Luton even if you just took the last three games, and the last minute opposition goals, into account.

Four points micturated up the wall in those three games alone. Truth is losing Cooper didn't solve anything.

It would be appropriate for us to be sponsored by Marinakis's shipping business because Chris Wood has a turning circle the size of one of his tankers.

Also - Why sell anyone we don’t want to.
Sell the the Worralls, Vlach, Richard’s, Turner - that will show willing - our point deduction should be the same as the 2nd Everton one which will be announced in a couple of weeks - I am expecting them to get next to nothing.

I'll doubt there will be any appeal made tomorrow.

Although the arguments surrounding the fairness of the rules themselves are valid, they remain a fact of life and I couldn't really say they'd been misapplied in our case.

The PL come out of it looking awful and certain senior figures at Forest incompetent, but given the penalties appear to have been benchmarked by our judgement and Everton's previous appeal, the chances of success would be minimal.

Far better for EM to bide his time, awaiting the opportunity to wreak his revenge on the PL.

So this.

This whole debacle should be getting the club to reflect on itself, tighten up ship, and galvanize our way forward.

By being our best we can do the lot of 'em. But we need to put in the effort and care to make that happen, not continue operating as the current regime traditionally has.

We're always gonna face top club bias and bent Prem fannies. Accepting that and beating them anyway would show them a treat.

There’s so much f***ing shit about, football insider claimed EM may sell…very next day.. oh he’s sticking around. What ya find is these shit websites correlated and aggregated by such as newsnow…

EM will be digging in with Forest, so should we. Come back way stronger, use whatever rules the ***** have modified for our benefit. The EPL want to fight right? Take no shit Forest
