It's all about mid-table...
Spawny yes mate, but their lucks runnin out imo.
I feel the variety has gone from our free-kicks now though. In the Clough and Pearce days we had the option for a curler or power, left foot or right foot, this carried on with Cooper. Even when we knew that Dutch idiot was taking them all, it would still be the option for him to curl it or belt it. Now it seems every single free-kick is a little dinked curl effort. Even on Saturday against Luton we had a free-kick right on the edge of the box, from that close in it was crying out for a plain old fashioned piledriver, any sort of deflection would likely have taken it in.The ball is lighter and moves in the air more. This is supposed to help free-kick takers but I wonder if it does, given our free-kick results.
I hope so Ray.Spawny yes mate, but their lucks runnin out imo.

Good16/1 on Brentford is right punt. I know Evertons point deduction should mean they're safe, but if us Luton and Everton have a strong end to the season I can see them in all sorts of trouble
I have a vague memory of watching a game, no recollection of who it was we were playing, but they conceded a Free-Kick in prime Psycho territory - and John Motson's commentary "They'll be breathing a sigh of relief that Stuart Pearce isn't in the team today...", only for Ian Woan to step up and smash it into the top corner. Some belting free kicks in those days.
A soft run of fixtures. And Dyche.Everton are facing another point deduction aren't they? Why are they not favourites to go down?
They'll be nailed on?
Have I missed summat in my Gout laden drunkard coma??
Agree wiv Dyche but thuz no soft run.A soft run of fixtures. And Dyche.
Shhh. I'm trying to lull them into a false sense of security Raymond.Agree wiv Dyche but thuz no soft run.

Spurs in the cup??!I have a vague memory of watching a game, no recollection of who it was we were playing, but they conceded a Free-Kick in prime Psycho territory - and John Motson's commentary "They'll be breathing a sigh of relief that Stuart Pearce isn't in the team today...", only for Ian Woan to step up and smash it into the top corner.
You might be right.Spurs in the cup??!
Aye, Woany had a sweet, sweet left foot.I have a vague memory of watching a game, no recollection of who it was we were playing, but they conceded a Free-Kick in prime Psycho territory - and John Motson's commentary "They'll be breathing a sigh of relief that Stuart Pearce isn't in the team today...", only for Ian Woan to step up and smash it into the top corner.
Scored 2 at St James Park I think - neither were free kicks though. We knocked them out in a game they were massively fancied to win!Did Woany score a belter at Newcastle? Was it in the cup?
Sounds like against Newcastle - sure Woan scored 2, one a FK on the right wing.I have a vague memory of watching a game, no recollection of who it was we were playing, but they conceded a Free-Kick in prime Psycho territory - and John Motson's commentary "They'll be breathing a sigh of relief that Stuart Pearce isn't in the team today...", only for Ian Woan to step up and smash it into the top corner.
Could have been the Tottenham game at the City Ground too, think he belted two past Ian Walker that night.Sounds like against Newcastle - sure Woan scored 2, one a FK on the right wing.
Damn I used to love Woany.
Yes - then lost at League 3 Chesterfield in the next round.Scored 2 at St James Park I think - neither were free kicks though. We knocked them out in a game they were massively fancied to win!
