Financial Fair Play (FFP)

Guess what - I also own a top division football club. Or part of one, anyway.

And I have one thing that perhaps Mr. Marinakis does not; or maybe I care more about it than he does - I understand financial governance.

Every Forest fan has, in all honesty, the right to be annoyed at this situation, which is entirely of the club‘s own making. The temporary custodian of the football club has allowed a situation to develop where the club knowingly broke financial sustainability rules.

That the rules are absolute nonsense, nobody can disagree with that. But, still, Forest still broke the rules. And some of that has to reflect on the owner.
Am I annoyed - yes of course I am
Am I acting like a drama queen - No - the reality is we have been screwed over by the EPL who have gone back on agreements - you watch as the shit now hits the fan.
You think a multi billionaire doesn't understand finance?

"On 31 March 2023, Forest provided the Premier League with its PSR Calculation based on a projected league position of 12th at the end of the 2022/23 season"

Lol our owner is deranged.

Also Vrentzos still directly involved in running the club:

5.17 On 28 August 2023, Brentford made a third offer of £40m for Player A. This was also declined by Forest. On the same day, Mr Vrentzos was instructed by Mr Marinakis to sell Player A before the window closed.

At £34.5m over we can't even use the Johnson sale, Brentford offered £30m, so we would still have been over and broke the rules if we sold him before. At best maybe we can use that to get a reduced reduction in an appeal?

Ok, but some of the personal stuff is just not acceptable. The level of vitriol towards the owner is, in my opinion, unwarranted. As Mr Blonde has said, let's hope he learns from this mistake, and hopefully everyone can get behind him, Nuno and the players for the rest of the season.

A real shame that it's 2 step forward and 1.5 back under this ownership through purely unnecessary transfers that no one wanted or needed. Any normal approach to transfers would have this ownership group beloved for the rest of time. Sadly i'm not sure they'll ever change.

With Vrentzos back in the picture hows your blood pressure? :ROFLMAO:
Ha, tbh mate I fully expected him to still be involved in some way.

Marinakis loves his favorites, as jumping back in bed with Mendes proves. It's just a shame his favorites are leeches and losers, and the people he doesn't value are those who get us promoted and keep us up.

I will forever "snipe" at their methods until they start getting things right. Those methods were getting us relegated to League 1 until he passed the torch to Murphy. It's time for that torch passing to happen again before it's too late.
