I watched a documentary about that not too long ago. Very powerful - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0799954/Happy we didn’t lose but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge

Id have taken a point before the game, but as always the way the game develops always makes you think differently. Luton away is notoriously a very difficult game this season for every team. But not losing, and stopping the negative rot we’ve been on is more important to me. LETS SEE IT AS A POSITIVE. Coyr
Even if they’re both injured I don’t see Nuno playing Ribeiro. I’m wondering what the point was of bringing him and Reina in. We played the last 15 minutes yesterday without a striker or any intention of trying to score. The issue for us was T being out and then wood going off injured. One of those has to be fit for palace.
9 unfortunatelyWell, let’s hope tomorrow we’re level with Luton and the 10 game season begins. Regardless of what we’ve spent and opinions as to which players are PL standard, ultra short term view is it’s about having the players that are good enough to finish top of the bottom four !
If true, what’s the coach been doing for 6 months? It could be that it's the players who aren't good at set-pieces
Neither do Everton, Luton or Brentford. As it stands we dont look capable of beating anyone in the division so looking at the fixtures of other teams is totally pointless.
Two, fire the f***ing set piece coach.
Toffolo took a few corners earlier in the season and looked pretty good at it. Why not give him another go ffs?
I remember a left footed defender who used to take most of the free kicks and score most of the free kicks. Why not get Murillo on them all?
Alternatively just keep doing the same old shite.
My shout for corner taker would be Neco, Hes by far our best crosser from open play so surely he can take a corner.
Thats not gonna last unfortunately.Neither do Everton, Luton or Brentford.

What about the other players? If the ship goes down, MGW has to go down with it. He's shown very little to suggest he's a top end PL player yet.

Here is the way I see it, Luton have 2 away they have no chance of winning, we have 2 at home we should win.As it stands we dont look capable of beating anyone in the division so looking at the fixtures of other teams is totally pointless.
Been reported elsewhere in places like the Athletic that Marinakis was very frustrated about set piece incompetance and attempted to foist a coach on Cooper who refused to accept the advice and the solution. Just prior to Cooper's departure Rusk was hired , a guy without any obvious specialist experience but someone Cooper knew from previous work places. Since then , Nuno has sidelined Rusk, apparently using his own team for set piece work but the problem clearly remainsIf true, what’s the coach been doing for 6 months?
I have to admit that I was mystified by these 2 loans at the time.Even if they’re both injured I don’t see Nuno playing Ribeiro. I’m wondering what the point was of bringing him and Reina in. We played the last 15 minutes yesterday without a striker or any intention of trying to score.
Incredible how much negativity you can get from 30mins…I’d advise against watching 90.Well, I just watched the last 30 minutes. My over arching conclusions from this? One, we don't deserve to stay up. IF we do, it's because there is so much dross at the bottom of the table. Two, fire the f***ing set piece coach. Three, any number of our players are nowhere near as good as much of us either think, or they think. Anyone who think MGW is anywhere near being called up for England is insane. Ross Barkley is an infintiely better player right now. It's not like MGW is bad, but he is a guy who far too often does next to nothing. Elanga isn't a smart player. If you took away his pace, you'd get next to nothing. Yates isn't good enough for this division. We overpaid for Sangare way too much, and, quite frankly, the same applies for MGW. I think that Nuno Espirito Santo is a manager with limited ideas. He improved our structure, but we are a team that is almost entirely devoid of creativity. That might not be NES's fault, in fairness. How many points can we take from the next five? Don't bet the mortgage on more than three. And I am afraid three won't be good enough. We are a drab, shitty f***ing football team.
This is the sort of thinking I try to avoid at this point, simply because we are not delivering. You say we should win these games but it means absolutely nothing to me.Here is the way I see it, Luton have 2 away they have no chance of winning, we have 2 at home we should win.
That puts us 9 points in front of them after the next 2 games. Even the pundits said luton were lucky to get a
point. Though they don't say it, but now Bentford are in the mix. I thought they would win at Burnly. Maybe,
just maybe our season starts after this break......C.O.Y.Reeeeeeds
