If we do get 3 points deducted now we will be in a better position than we would have been before a deduction if Luton had held the win. We’d still have our head just above water. That should give everyone a big boost. Or as big a boost as you can having points deducted.

Given that everyone is expecting a points deduction, for it to be as few as three points would give people a boost I reckon

6 is the tipping point imo, any more and we're gone unless Everton get more off. Anything less and we should be fine. Given that if we beat Luton on Sat and have a 6 point deduction we will still be above them, and will probably tick points over at a higher rate than them over the remainder of the season...

Yeah if it is 3 I’d be fairly happy. But just making the point that if it was that we’d be above where we should be if Luton could hold on to a lead. Even if it was 6 at least we’d be a win from getting back out of it and we have the opportunity to do it straight away as we play them.

If this doesn’t motivate the players what will?

What's got everyone so upset by them saying that? Not wrong, were they? You only need to scroll up a few pages to see that.

I didn't agree with that lot freaking out either: the level of apathy on here in the last week has been agonising. I understand why to a point, but I don't like it or approve.

Given that we seem to be f**ked unless there's an upturn in results coming soon, I don't disagree with them lol

Saying that I still think the current bottom 3 are bad enough to go down unless we get a massive deduction.

At the time that was posted I was tempted to respond with "They're not wrong though are they?" but decided discretion was the better part of valour!
