Well that was 'kin horrible.

Glad we won for Kouyate! Also glad the unwell fan seemed to be OK too.

Two minor but key points, Vlach punching that ball at the end really highlights how bad he is. That looked like an easy claim, yet he invites pressure at every opportunity.

Nuno's Worrall sub settled us down somewhat and for me won the game. He may have left it late, but credit there.

Yates & Aguilera definitely the highlights, although Mangala had a few moments too.
To be honest, I thought we controlled pretty much all of ET. The FT whistle came at the right time.

That was proper football.
Real men playing a real game like their lives depended on it.
That was the Somme
That was epic.
Blackpool were epic.
Forest were epic.
There is no finer feeling than pride in a battle, hard fought but won.
Needs a St Crispins day speech.
The Verdun Ridge against Brizzle will be IMMENSE
Is there any turd polish left in the tin or has it all been used?

Don’t think you can criticise Blackpool for their tactics. They were playing against a premier league team and doing everything they could to win the game and go through. We would have been buzzing to see our players do that sort of thing a few seasons back.
We could learn a thing or two about gamesmanship from Blackpool.

VAR-less games are an absolute joy it has to be said. Really proper celebrated the winner once i seen that Woodie had an old school glance over at the linesman as he was celebrating.

You really do wonder what the hell they've managed to do to the game

Ah but see I can criticize them because it was horrid.

I really don’t understand how people can be so depressed and call different players rubbish. I find it very weird as a fan. Every player has bad games or a poor run, thats football.
Been following the forum for a few years before actually joining but it seems its always the same people being negative, imagine waking up with that attitude every morning.
I just don’t understand that mentality.
It was an FA cup fight tonight which we won in the end, many positives there. Nuno seems to have answers to all situations so far which is excellent, I’m feeling good about the rest of the season regardless of any upcoming issues.

I know there's gonna be pelters for the performance but I knew it would be that type of game due to the pitch. Honestly it's just not conducive to playing football when it's rock hard like that. That's why the FA cup has shocks, those pitches are favourable to lower league opposition - mix it up, press, be aggressive and throw balls into the box.

You've just got to match it and get through the tie.

Murillo was imperious and Dominguez filled the MGW space well. Mangala was quietly solid.

Let them back in second half, but that was a very professional performance, passing far better than I've seen this season.
