FWIW I think Josh Bowler is one of a couple of players we've treated pretty shabbily in among the signing frenzy (Lewis O'Brien being the other one). Hope we haven't derailed his career too badly. Most of us have never even seen him play!

Pleased you enjoyed the blog, though I didn't write it myself.

Josh seems to be doing OK at Cardiff. He seems to have had a raw deal though, getting shipped off to Greece when he signed for you.

Pretty sure what happened that window was we had one eye on going down again and needing players who would be fringe players in the PL but that we wouldn't need to tear the squad apart in the next summer. Bowler should probably have been loaned back rather than sent to Oly (as he had already played for Blackpool that season) because when he was recalled he then couldn't play for anyone else.

Actually I think that 2 clubs rule is a bit daft in that case. A player should always be able to play for the club who owns them. In the case of younger players they should also be unrestricted so a club can recall them and loan them to a higher division club.

Us playing Andrew O in the replay also of course means he can only play for us or Norwich this season now.
