To be honest I was good at my job, had a good craic with customers. When I worked at the Allenton branch it was canny.
I used to hand make and do alterations for the disabled folk, fit raises, platforms and irons etc to their shoes.
It was just a shame my two bosses were sheep shagging bullies.

Years back I had to get some special insoles to encourage my steps to be more on the outer …….reet carry on …..loads of fittings, adjustments, poor mush at hospital was at his wits end getting em reet, when they were finished the thick-heed posted em out …….my dog got to the post first while I was at work ……he made his own adjustments

For what it's worth I'd never heard of this player until this thread was started so all the information I have is what others have posted here and two things stick out - he likes a pint and his defensive statistics are poor. So poor that's not actually clear that he's even a defender or just a generic 'left-sided player'.
Can't say I'm bowled over by that or the prospect that this is our attempt at replacing Lodi.

The FBRef charts are interesting and can tell you a lot about a player but they really need to be put in some sort of context before making firm judgements.
Go back to the 21/22 season & Jakobs ranks highly in most defensive metrics (see pic). Similar in his 2 seasons in the Bundesliga. Did he become a bad defender overnight, or did he just have a bad season? A look at his heatmap & it seems as though he played quite high up the pitch when he played last season & Monaco's 1st choice LB (Henrique) played around 90% of minutes available. That might suggest he played in a role where he wasn't required to defend as much.
Passing numbers are largely an indication of the way a team plays, his pass completion is very similar to Lodi's from last season & some would've paid £25m for him.

Also completely different in the respect that Cooper has never worked with Jakobs before.
Ayew might have been a familiar signing who Cooper knew he could trust and never let him down, but Jakobs comes with a different dynamic.

Could be that he was brought on when losing/needing a winner to get the attack moving.
From flash scores allot of his minutes were 3/4 minutes spells, he's hardly going to put 2 tackles in per game in those scenarios.

Every manager has bad signings, some managers you think why the eck did you sign them and they end up amazing. What I will say is the club must feel Richards isnt up to the quality of Lodi last season. Cause we have 4 full backs currently. Also I will say that Lodi wa so good last season and him not being there is a massive loss. So I am hoping any Left Back can match his ability.
