Everton at home on a Friday night.
No, away to Everton and win 3-1. Now that would be a good omen!

Anyone else fancy Manchester United away first with their shiny new manager after his first summer rebuild? Be incredible to go to Old Trafford and piss on their chips first game of the season.
Was our promotion the best promotion ever? Hear me out.
The years and years of frustration, underachievement & fighting against restrictions against us that makes promotion so difficult. And then the way we do it, from being so utterly hopeless - with the exact same group of players we have been on an incredible run and then getting promoted in the utterly perfect way at Wembley.
We could have won the league with 110 points, it wouldn't have felt better than the promotion we got. I think the scenes at Wembley showed that, many people have said they had seen nothing like it - and that the atmosphere is commonly quite flat at Wembley. But that release of tension when we went up was something I have never seen before. I think we could win the League Leicester style in the future and we would never have this same feeling of built up tension that was released.
It was definitely a cathartic release of pent up emotion! Which, you're right, wouldn't have been achieved through a campaign where we blitzed the league. 90 minutes is such a small amount of time to distill the season to, no wonder we all celebrated like we did.

You knew something special was happening this season because of the way the city was - even without promotion I have never felt this way about Forest.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but would you swap Sunday, the trip to Wembley, all the atmosphere etc for beating Bournemouth and going up in second?
I wouldn't.

I’d be more than happy with 15thThe Guardian Premier League preview for Forest has them finishing 15th in the top flight:
Premier League 2022-23 preview No 16: Nottingham Forest
The euphoria of their playoff triumph has subsided and now Steve Cooper can concentrate on keeping the club where their fans believe they belongwww.theguardian.com

Which teams where in the Premiership when Nottingham Forest were last in the top flight in 1998-99?Thought this was as good a place as any to post this. BBC site has a quiz where you have to name all the sides in the premier league last time we were.
Personally I got them all with 20 seconds to go...humble brag haha
F**k him!BBC's Phil McNulty has us finishing in 18th and getting relegated with Bournemouth and Fulham.
