According to the local rag he is on £38k per week with a year to run on his contract.
That's £2m plus oncosts.
He sure did want to come back to Forest...
I wonder if Steve Cooper can get a tune out of this banjo.
I wonder if Steve Cook will be able to help.

Sorry to keep banging on about it but what if there’s been something in Arters personal
Life we don’t know about-a serious illness in the family say or something else. It happens-I’ve seen it in employees and can have a devastating effect on work performance. Good managers have to know their employees to understand and help.
Likely not to be the case but I’m making the point because none of us know f*** all about what’s really going on in these lads lives…

Lost his kid.

He'll have been paid the £38k whilst on Charlton (with Forest still paying most of the wages).

There's no financial benefit of Arter coming back here. He'll have chosen to come back presumably in order to make himself available for another club, with other clubs now able to buy him if they wanted to because the loan deal is cancelled, or loan him.

Not questioning the sentiment Congo, nor was I being snide about insight.

Don't worry Cheapo, I've been around long enough that if I think someone is being snide, I'll just come out and say it - and I didn't detect it in your response. Just being my usual self-deprecating self, as I don't want to come across a someone that thinks they know everything, when I most certainly don't, but I'll have an opinion on anything/everything.

I noticed someone on Twitter talking about the disgrace of "the Dan Gosling" situation "if true" in relation to Arter. Anyone any idea? Don't post if it's not appropriate, I don't care that much!

Allegedly when we were trying to sign Dan Gosling (last summer?) Arter told him to steer well clear etc. Allegedly Hughton found out and froze Arter out.

Cheers, I hadn't heard that. Or else I had and had forgotten, which is more likely.

He may have come back because he feels there is little chance of him having to actually play.

Arter was right to tell Gosling to steer clear under Hughton. We were shit and ultra defensive.

If anyone can get something out of Harry, Cooper Arter.

I am sure the manager will give him a fair crack of the whip.

It would be nice if he could turn his Forest career around in a similar way to Ben Watson.

We were, but you can see how the club might not be too impressed by his (alleged) actions.

That would make no sense, Arter signed in September, could only be this summer or January.

We were after Gosling in January 2021. Arter signed September 2020.

I agree... every true fan must agree.
However, so much depends on Arter's frame of mind.
Before his daughter was stillborn he would have walked into any championship side, no question about that.

Nottingham's dirty secret
I wish him the best no matter what the outcome.

So many prats smugly deriding his ability would be crumbled in a heap if they were to go through the same as Harry.

I, for one, hope he makes the decision that is best for him and his family. Some things are bigger than football.

Couldn't agree more.

It's very easy for us all to look at it from the outside and judge, but we are all humans with feelings and we have no idea what's going on with Harry Arter.

Today Davy Propper retired from football at the age of 30 as he stated he'd 'fallen out of love with the game'. A fantastic footballer who thrived at PSV and had also done well on the international stage.

Robert Enke (the former Germany goalkeeper) committed suicide in 2009 as he struggled to get over the loss of his daughter in 2006.

As much as we are passionate about having committed and high performing players for the club that we love, I think we need to be very careful here because the loss of a child is incomprehensible.
