Brighton fan here. One thing that became a feature under Hughton was the long ball pass from defence. I'm sure he had his team practice this because of how many times it occurred - no way would
players keep doing it that, game after game, unless Hughton said it was okay and the accuracy was consistently too high to be speculative punts. He could never be accused of being a route one
manager, it was only once or twice in any game and often caught out the opposition defence. I'm pretty sure that Bong's pass for 1st Murray goal is with the outside of his boot.

Thanks for sharing that observation, and welcome to the forum mate.

Compare with this pass from Dunk to Baldock against Sheff Weds.

It's good I will give him that but the Birder in me hates the word Seagull as the bird doesn't exist , Its just a broad term labelled on Gulls which there are many species, The Herring Gull is usually the one nicking chips at the seaside but it could be a common Gull a black backed Gull a yellow legged Gull or a black headed Gull or countless others.

How about the one that used to smoke cigarettes - Beagull ?

Or the one with 8 sides - Octangull ?

Funny old World.

One manager's 'long ball' is another manager's 'direct approach' is another managers 'hoof'.

Merely an observation.

Don't see the connection of Dunk to Baldock with a Bong to Murray pass ?

Connection is tentative to say the least

No? Fair enough mate. Best of luck for the rest of the season anyway. I mean that sincerely, would love to see Forest and Hughton back in the top division.

Stick around mate. Also what's your favourite dinosaur? I can really get a sense of a person by their answer to this.

I lived down your neck of the woods for a couple years, the city of Brighton & Hove is lovely, some cracking independent pubs & restaurants especially around the lanes

For a city centre at night it had a good friendly feel unlike most city centres including Nottingham

Decent Fred Perry shop in the lanes too

Can't remember the name of it, but one of my favourite curry houses in the country was down the road in Lancing. Also Mrs C is from down that way so we spend a bit of time in the area throughout the year (usually). I tend to plan it around the summer months so I can sit on the beach whilst they go off and do stuff I have absolutely no interest in all day.

Jump The Gun in Gardner Street. It's part-owned by Martin Freeman's brother (who also used to be in Frazier Chorus. I know Lancing well, it's sort of the rougher end of Worthing, where I grew up.

Lancing slappers are notorious, ask Shane Duffy. He pulled one of Lancing's finest in a nightclub in Brighton a few years back.

"I'm Shane Duffy"

"Who?"

"Google me"

Yes, he really did say that. And when he got back to hers, he asked if she had a swimming pool. Hahahahahaha!
