Ah f*** off, too many positives here  good to see Joao and the young ones involved. It’s a nice mix and we will need them over the season, it would be great to have them be able to slot in if and when needed so the experience with playing with the first team is great. Gives us more ways to attack, hopefully gives Sabri more confidence to use them with more options now Freeman is here and Mighten/De Costa are a bit more bedded in too.

The lineup is blowing my mind. How does Brennan fit in?!

Carvalho looks at his Forest future with determination or fear, depending on yor level of optimism.

Johnson is a real footballer, calm and composed and good technique. I wouldn't say he has the pace for it, but he could play wide as well as any of the central positions. He's just better further ahead in midfield as he has a genuine goal threat.

He could have been playing as one of two of the deeper CM's. It's more about minutes in legs than anything else in friendlies though.

I'm trying to work out who it is you can see between Joao and Toby. Is it Jenkinson?

I get Brennan can play anywhere, but that’s a lot of central midfielders in one photo!

Not sure - is Jenko a long sleeve top man? I didn’t have him down for one personally.

I see Joao, Bachirou, Brennan, Yuri and Yates, Samba was in goal apparently and we know Taylor scored the goal, theres 2 guys you can't see, I think the one at the back is Figueiredo, the other could be Jenkinson, but you really can't tell, whos the other dude to the left of Brennan? I don't recognise him

It looks like under-armour on mate.

I'm thinking of where he's standing, looks like it would be RB. Not Gabriel, JR or Darikwa. Must be him.

It's Tyler Blackett.

That's in the second half I think. As WBA posted a picture from the first half and Ameobi and Da Costa were there. We know Taylor started as he scored in the first half. Probably late on with lots of changes to get minutes in legs, hence the randomness.

Just googled Jenkinson and it's definitely him. My sad attention to detail, but got quite a distinctive ear  (taking my sadness to new levels)

Interesting that Gabriel started RB/RWB. Really do hope Sabri likes what he sees.

Also - wonder if Jack Colback isn't ready yet. Played in the Oldham friendly. But not seen him on any pictures since.

I don't think Colback has played a single minute yet. In the running pics in training he looked physically sick. 18-months without football.

In the Port Vale game it looked like Gabriel was playing midfield or wide-right. Hopefully he got the chance at RB today seeing Darikwa on the sideline.

There was a short clip of him closing down an Oldham player, but yeah, not seen since. I'm sure he's still in reasonable shape, he looks it in his photos. But there's no substitute for playing games, with the intensity and stop-start you get. He's always come across as a good pro, so I think he'll be fine when he's back at it.

1000th time i've said it, but RB is just the one real concern i've got left now. I can't wait for the window to be closed so it's addressed one way or the other.

It's things like this we're gonna have to bare with. We all know of Colback's calibre, but he 'aint gonna hit the ground at full pelt with the 18 months you mention & such a short pre-season.

Another reason why I'm a little dubious about letting Watson go.

You'd have thought a very well paid professional athlete would keep themselves in better shape, regardless of whether or not they are playing.
