He wasn't even bothered to put a shift on. And he didn't look like a part of the team. There was one characteristic moment, when Watson should have passed the ball to him, but preferred to bypass him and pass to someone else.

I repeat: could Johnson play this deep? I see no point in you using Semedo again.

Didn’t actually realise he’d come on. I mean, I saw Diakhaby trying to get on the ball and do something even if it didn’t work and he defended too. Semedo, thought he was on the bench still.

I agree. Diakhaby tried but did not manage to make a difference. Semedo was simply going through the motions, uninterested. He should be transferred to the bomb squad. He's not the solution, neither is Yates, so you need to find another midfield solution for the bench.

Silva is probably the safest bet, especially since he's not making much of a difference creatively.

Don't worry, we'll sign one in Jan.......Oh......

I didn’t feel the same about Semedo. I felt he did give a little something different and was trying to fill the same space as Sow positionally.

He's loose in the pass and seems to be playing at 80% intensity.. If Yates put in that performance he'd been torn a new one. Disgraceful..

Have to agree with Stockers. Anonymous today when we needed players to stand up and be counted.

Shit my pants everytime he gets the ball. Total liability with the positional awareness of a traffic cone.

Bostock would surely be a better option. Couldn't be much worse.

I agree you dont bring on a defensive midfielder to make a huge difference going forward. Never really saw the need for him and yates to be on the bench unless game plan was to nick a goal and park the bus. The team didn't seem any different to when sow was on the pitch seems he did a job

I see absolutely no point in persisting with him. Our greatest virtue is the team ethic and it's not just that he brings nothing to it -- he actively detracts from it. I agree that moving Silva back and bringing on a more creative option would be a much better bet.

Looked better today when he came on than usual. But still a liability. I'd rather Johnson comes on as even if he doesn't help us win the game it will benefit his development.

He played one incredibly weak, loose pass straight to opposition that made my toes curl. Having said that and whilst agreeing broadly with your assessment I do think there is a player there. I really find it hard to totally write off a player who hasn’t had at least a run of 5 or 6 games as a starter to prove himself. Believe me we have given far more chances to players with half of his ability at this club in years gone by. Guess it goes to show how far we’ve come in the last year or so...

Trouble is that Sabri quite rightly by the looks of it has decided that he's not up to a run of 5-6 games. In this league 1 or 2 week links and you're out of the game.. He's obviously got bags of potential but he also knows it and it looks like his attitude just isn't spot on (Pogba esq)..

When's he gonna get this run of 5 or 6 games though mate? He's off back home in 13 games time.

:dunno:

My best hope for him & the likes of Carva, is that near season end they can pitch in with a key moment or two from the bench when playing against tired opposition

Semedo is not a defensive midfielder?

In the Adomah mould he consistently comes on and does less than nothing.Other posters say he's got lots of talent. Can't see any evidence of it myself.

But is pulling silva back really the option

Yes he has determination and guile but physically he’s not great for that type of role

He's not, he's more box to box, does as much attcking as defending imo

Well if that’s the case he offers even less than I thought

I can see what you mean and then I suppose Yates is exactly the same

But they are just two wastes of a shirt as they don’t do f*** all

This is not Wimbledon of the 90s
