Re: Philippe Montanier - Raisons de se Réjouir!

I'm glad that my good old days was Bryan Roy and Stan up front banging them in with a decent midfield behind them, not this dogshit!

You can consider yourself lucky then.
They played some orgasmic football.

Re: Philippe Montanier - Raisons de se Réjouir!

Eric Lichaj changed formation of the team on the pitch without consultation with the manager.
He switched himself and Cash [ who is clearly out of position and failing ] because he had identified a huge defensive problem PM had not addressed. Quel surprise.
I dont now what football teams any of you played for but that scenario speaks volumes for me. Just does not happen.
Hence there was no way Forest were going to offer up Lichaj for a post match interview. Something snapped in Eric today.
There is no respect for PM. Or belief in him. Truly shocking.

Especially when your only 2 points clear of the drop yourselves well into thick of it mid January!

With the right leadership Billy could do it for us. No apologies to the Billy haters. Best manager we have had in recent times even if he did have a major brain fart, or was that two?:

A better measure would be points per game...

Billeh : 1.63 & 1.55 (Mk2 and MK1 respectively)
SOD : 1.50
Rowett (At Birmingham) : 1.49
Freedman : 1.28
Pearce : 1.25
Cotterill : 1.16
Megson : 1.15
Montanier : 1.14

No Question. Montanier's gone.
Billy is the answer. Best we could get by a long stretch. Would keep us up and with the right backing he'd get us up next season.
And if you look at that list he has the best record of all of them in the Premiership too.
Got to be worth a call.

It's amazing that people defend managers that are so poor for us and slag off the one that's been head and shoulders the best for us (in recent history).

Re: Philippe Montanier - Raisons de se Réjouir!

Why do those that hate Billy Davies hate him? Personally i couldnt give a toss if he is a poisonous dwarf, he made Forest a consistently good team. He saved us from relegation, two consecutive playoff appearences and then sacked 7th in the league with a fit starting 11 that would struggle to compete with a Montainer side.
It is highly unlikely that he will ever return and i am not asking that he does but to be completely against the idea is bizarre.

My mate's missus is friends with Eric's missus. According to Mrs Lichaij, for weeks now Eric goes home after traing sessions and games in the foulest of tempers because so many of his team mates are, in his opinion , taking the piss.

When we're quoting Megson's stats are we only counting games in this division or including League 1 as well? (saying that, he was crap there too)

Can fully believe that, you can tell Lihaj understands how lucky he is to have a well rewarded career with Forest, does his job professionally and has passion to do his best.

I bet he could reveal truths that would make us all want to go down that training ground and physically strangle certain individuals.

This ultimately comes down to how Fawaz has run the club and also the shower of absolute shit brought in over the summer. I also don't think PM has been strong enough to deal with the situation unfortunately as I do like the bloke. The biggest issue we have now is losing the youngsters faith in the club and ultimately f***ing off somewhere else..

I think Joe Worral more or less said the same after the Wolves defeat, don't think he's played since.

Said it at the time, it was never gonna go down well for him saying that no matter how right he was to say it..... in any work place, once the cushy life for the rats is threatened they close ranks....especially by some dumb kid who doesnt know the footballers code... wouldnt suprise me if some didnt speak to him after that.

Re: Philippe Montanier - Raisons de se Réjouir!

At least Megson for all his faults tried to get rid of the wasters and piss takers. PM seems too weak to stand up to them. Far easier to drop the young lad who spoke an uncomfortable truth.
What manager worth his salt would even stand for what Eric did yesterday even if Eric was right to do it.
