Douglas Alan „Dougie“ Freedman

Freedman slagged us off earlier in the season and I'm fairly sure he's previous for that, although I can't find it.

Add in the fact he'd been lined up to replace Pearce before the match and I simply can't get behind him.

EDIT: And he's short and Scottish so there's that too.

My thoughts exactly.....my old man snapped out of it before me and brought my blackpool ticket and told me to stop being a girl about it.... I cant even vote with my feet once the old mans spoken.
I have sent a series of texts venting to my Dad this week. He is a Notts County fan, and he agrees that generally everything is a bit crap.

He didn't slag us off you muppet. He just said that we have an excellent squad, and that he wished he had the money to splash on top players. It was a dig at his own board more than anything.

Will it stop you backing the club?.

He didn't

But even if he did have a moan. Are you like 9 year old or something, that you'd let effect your perception of him?

Impressed every time I see Freedman interviewed. Seems to have his head screwed on and seems an intelligent man. Enthusiastic and driven too. From his post match interview he also made a big point about players understanding the position they are playing. I think sometimes Pearce had a tendency to overcomplicate things. It seems DF has gone back to basics. When confidence is low and results have been poor that makes sense to me. So far, so very good.

He sounds exactly like Davies in everything he says. The amount of times he says work is reminiscent. He also studies teams like Davies, he knew all about Brightons set piece routine which is impressive for a bloke out of work. Potentially we could have a manager like Davies but much more sane and nicer which is what we want. It's like a Pearce Davies combo equates to freedman.

It just feels like that by listening to him, I'm glad he has got some organisation back into the team and when he drops Collins and Darlow it will be better. Someone need to talk to him about De Vries he is needed badly next season we need to keep him happy.

One or two strange selections which probably make sense when you find out Wilson is injured and we don't have much choice at LB. DeVries however for me was a must start. He's done a decent job since coming in.

I would quite like a sane Davies type manager. Apart from being an insane arsehole Davies has a lot of strengths suited to the championship.

No doubt Davies is a very good manager, especially at this level - it's just a shame he's a paranoid psychopath.

If Dougie gets this team playing as well as Davies could then he would have done a good job. Freedman is a good man and is well respected, so hopefully it will work out. Seems very honest in his assessments of the team and situation also, I particularly liked the fact he took the blame for the set pieces.

Yes, takes a good leader to take responsibility.
I'm feeling positive at the moment. Quite looking forward to Wednesday.

Some of you take some blinkers off.

Davies produced dull boring sides, despite being backed to the hilt by two club owners, he failed, not only failed, but wreaked his own level of destruction on the club, like some insane male dominatrix or what ever they are called, yet still sections of the fan base wish to use his shite as toothpaste and lie down to be treated as a bitch by him.

He's gone thank God, get over it.

Yes this is my view as well. Can you drop a goal scorer? That's what managers are paid to decide:p.

Did he sleep with your Mrs or something?

I just hope everyone remembers he's a young coach and still learning. Please can we give someone the time to sort the team and themselves out.

I was annoyed when Pearce was sacked and Freedman instantly bought in.

But now some time has gone by, I hope Freedman is here for the long run. I hate seeing this club sack a manager every couple of months, someone needs to be given time to build something.

Don't see anyone rimming Davies on here. He will never be successful because he's bonkers. Simple as.

Looks like the love for DF is increasing. I must admit, after my initial reaction and seeing him interviewed, plus a bit of research, I am now thinking he could be good for us. I like managers who are trying to learn all of the time, rather than sticking to the same old same old. I think SOD was an intelligent manager and DF may be too - obviously a bit too early to tell for sure, but the signs are promising.
