This lad must be something special to have made his debut today. He’s now the second youngest player ever to play for the first team, and over a year younger than Mighten was. He’s 16y3m!

And what a nice way to start - coming on late in the game to help see out a comfortable 3-0 win.

Like I suspect most on here I really know nothing about him so would one of those who frequent the youth/age group set up give the rest of us an idea what he’s about-attributes etc…

From what I've seen he seems like a bit like a younger Worrall, as well as being blond, tall and strong, he is decent in the air, loves to get stuck in and tackle as well.

Was in the U18 side for the youth cup last season (the final was just before he was 16) and has been around higher age group sides and the first team squad in preseason, so looks to be well ahead for his age. If he's still around and looking promising when he's 18 the club will probably get him on loan to get some experience. Just let's hope he's genuine rather than something like the next Westcarr (which I think was probably more attitude than talent anyway).

Its a great sign, but no guarantee, Craig Westcarr is still our youngest ever goalscorer and he never amounted to f*** all, excited to see how Zach progresses though

Was in various England youth squads too.

Has had a long career though and must have been at 20+ clubs. Currently plying his trade at Hucknall I think.

I've noticed those games on TV listings, but thought they were just for youngsters of clubs in European competitions. Thrilled to see that we are included in these games.

Of course, I expect all the rest of the fanbase knows all this already, but I acknowledge I'm always last to catch up.
