Reality is, we have spent a lot and don't have limitless funds left.
Secondly, if Niakhite is truly out for months, we are signing cover, not a replacement.
Thirdly, we have to consider that both Cook and McKenna seem susceptible to injuries so even though we still could use someone extra even when Niakhite comes back.
I'm not sure if Willy Boly is the answer to be honest since he himself has a number of injuries recently. I remember there was some talk of Lascelles coming back in the summer, might we return for him? He's Newcastle's captain but he seems in and out the team.
