What an excellent game of Football

I ca nhonestly say that today game was the best game of football from both side i have seen in a long time.The game was played how football should be played "On the floor".I can see why CC picked a youthful looking side to simply match them in the pace department due to the likes of Bent,Jerome etc etc.Today every player played really well and i thought Chambers had a cracking game best game this season from him by a country mile,Also Joe Heath coped well after a nervous start.From what i have seen from the last 3 games i think we can get away from the bottom 3 but i think we badly need to start putting away our chances.

The first half was shit, and the second half only got going properly quite late on... it was okay, but not excellent!

We were a bit toothless in the 1st half but overall i enjoyed my afternoon of football :)

Exactly, besides, its all relative. Compared to the dross we have been served in the last 3 years it was certainly a massive step up!

i wouldnt say it was a excellent game of football but we did play very well overall. TBH the first half we didnt play on the floor at all, there was a lot of long balls being played from chambers but the second half he stoped this and he played much better and we played much better :)

Bit harsh I think.

The first half was OK, we were all over Brum after we'd scored the equalizer, at times we were excellent.

If we were excellent, we would've won - Brum were no better than average on the day.

Don't get me wrong, some really promising signs - but until we kill teams off I'll still worry.

We missed McGugan from what I could see...we played very well at for large parts but we were just lacking that innovation in and around the penalty area at crucial times.

he cant be far wrong as he has been around the country in his time to see us beat teams like man united 4-0 etc

You do have to consider that most of the youngsters were brought in on the basis of injury. Heath, Thornhill, Tyson, Chambers were all brought in through injury Wilson wasn't.

I thought this was a bad move. I thought that Brecks fully deserved his spot and he was a big component in transforming the defence (Wes in particular) Wilson let me down again. He was complacent on the ball, messed around under pressure and he was quite poor overall.

However, I think he has improved aerially and if told to take a different attitude towards defending could be a great defender.
