Mmm. Going to break the love fest. Forest through and through but is he that good? Lacked mobility, not immune to mistakes and part of an old guard that ultimately was unsuccesful. There is better out there if we are true contenders for the Prem next season or the season after. There I said it. :hey:

I reckon at a decent price and under the stewardship of Billy, he could do a job in the prem. He seems like he's gone to the next level at Leicester and enjoying the role of captain. He was outstanding against prem teams in the cups a few years back.
He was exposed badly by Torres last season in the cup. In a 30 yard dash for a loose ball , Torres accelerate past Wes like he was running on lead boots. However , saying that - none of our defenders are really good enough and are equally slow.

He's a hero, no doubt, but his actual football ability has always been suspect.
Having watched Greg Halford and Henderson recently it's been quite a treat to see two players who can properly head the ball. As much as it would be great for sentimental reasons, I just think it's time we assembled a proper defence who can really play. Hutchinson and Halford as a defensive pair for example have got far more quality than Morgan I'm afraid.

Fair points. I actually reckon if we go up this year, then we'll be signing Dawson anyway. I think at 30 and the promise of regular football at his first club would be a too much of a pull to turn down. especially if we offer the captains armband as well.
