Greek media covering your promotion giving some extra emphasis, as it is expected to our common owner EM. there are some pretty good pictures, and that's why i am posting this. the article doesn't offer much as it is also expected, other than giving some info on the achievement

Any guess about the very first match for next season's official fixture?

I think we might travel to South face Brighton.

That might not be the worst outcome, either we got shook right into the proper state, physically and mentally or our spirits might get shattered prematurely.

After being successfully promoted, the very first match during the debut Premier League season, Swansea faced City and got beaten soundly at 4-0 but still survived eventually.

On the contrary, look at what Norwich went through this just finished season, faced Liverpool, City and Arsenal during the first 3 out of 4 matches, doomed right out of the gate.

Don't want that happen.

I think the implications haven't yet sunk in for the kids of Nottingham. My boys grew up in Championship & L1 years. Mates in Man City shirts, No chance of a Forest player on a match attack
card (unlike our pannini sticker days) unless we'd sold them on to survive.

A new breed of proud Forest youngsters were made today and hopefully will carry us forward for many years to come

Forest shirts in the playground

Happy days are here again

I can relate to that massively. I didn't get into football or follow Forest too much until around 2000, and all my mates growing up in Nottingham were United, L*verpool, Arsenal and so on. I grew up with stories from my grandad about Joe Baker, ISM etc and how they were the best players he had ever seen live. He's long gone now, but he was lucky enough to witness the greats. Every story I hear about him is how much of a diehard fan he was, how he'd be on the phone to Radio Nottingham every week in the 90s trying to win executive seats for him and my dad  My dad was lucky enough to live through the glory years too, and I'm glad he was able to experience the match today in person, after so many years of us suffering through games together and not really having much to show for it outside of a promotion from the Third Division. He'd drive us up and down the country following Forest, even when we had an awful streak of away games together and somehow ended up watching Forest lose about 10 in a row, including the famous 5-0 at Oldham. There were times when I didn't really get it, where I didn't feel like going to matches to see Dougie's / Megson's / Cotterill's Forest teams inevitably take a drubbing... and to be honest I probably only stuck with the club through certain spells out of some kind of obligation to my dad.

I didn't think I'd be lucky enough to experience what my dad and grandfather felt when they followed Forest through the good times, but today is the closest we've come to that in my time following the team, and I have Cooper and every player that's played a part this season to thank for that. It feels like this may be a sliding doors moment in our history, a chance to create a new positive chapter like those I used to get told about all the time when I was growing up.
