Signing a pro contract negates eppp no matter of age

I think you are right there, although isn't there a panel to decide transfer fees for young pros?

only for players who are not on Professional contracts, now that he is, in terms of transfers hes treated exactly the same as any first team player, the "Big Boys" can look at him as much as they want, but they're going to have to pay what we want if they want to get their hands on him

There isn't a panel anymore eppp controls how much is paid due to age and how many years they've spent at an academy before moving. You then get extra payments for appearances after that,

I'm glad we have people with knowledge like yours. Must save the scouts some time
No tongue in cheek comment allowed on a fans' forum? Sorry, I think he's brilliant. I'm sure, given time, he'll develop a new pair of legs, some balance and a brain that reads championship level football.

On the same basis I also thought Andre Silenzo, Eugene Dadi, David Tarka, Davey Oyen, Micheal Antoine-Curier and Danny Sonner were fine footballers just denied time to adapt.

None of us are experts. We're all entitled to an opinion

Definitely, balls into feet and round the back. DF might see Fryatt and Blackstock as similar strikers. Yesterday was clearly not appropriate for young Tyler. I think we might start seeing him on the bench in the next few games. Especially if he goes with both Dex and Matty up top. Can see Cash, Walker, Grant and Burke playing a part over the next season. Surely they'll be cheaper and can add just as much as expensive loans like Chalabah. I'll probably be lambasted for saying so but with Reid, Cohen, Lansbury, Vaughan and Osborn. I can't help but think Tesche is superfluous - and probably quite expensive
Trouble is three of those quoted are quite injury prone....

It still makes me laugh thinking of Clough's reaction to Des's goal

Given that DF was a striker I'm sure he can spot a footballer and an imposter! Tyler will be ahead of Lars in the pecking order
We thought this with Pearce and left backs, yet left back was arguably our worst-performing position under him. A fair few players played there too.

We had a real "down the pub" debate here in Dorset.
The consensus of the non-Forest, but footie mad blokes round the table was "he will have 10 years at the top with the risk of early curtailment becuase of injury, so he should grab as much cash as soon as he can".

The Forest supporting footie mad element (me and Mrs S) said "why would he want to warm the bench at Liverpool, when he could be a first regular and stellar player at Forest?".
The others accused us of being naive and of belonging to a different age.
Time will tell.

Who is the biggest benchwarmer of all time?

We should use their name to refer to anyone who goes Prem to sit there and take the cash...

Winston Bogarde at Chelsea.

Four year contract, most of which was spent in coffee shops along the Kings' Road.

Based on last night's performance, he's nowhere near ready for the first team. Harsh to judge on just 90 mins, but he really didn't stand out.

Oliver Burke looked nearer to being able to take the step up, principally because he's strong and ridiculously fast.
