I'd suggest there is a marketing strategy behind this. Signing a Korean player into the premier league generates absolutely huge interest over there. A £4M outlay to enter that market could see massive financial returns

Agreed, though they wouldn't be going for him if they didn't think his output would earn him minutes/get a return for us. Another established pro too at 29.

Hmm! Know nothing of this guy, but his numbers are good and he's another who plays multiple positions. Assume he's seen a lively option off the bench initially?

Welcome to Wolves vid (who I still think we are trying to annoy) here:
Yep, think this is a case of.. you should have sold us mgw, now you will never buy another player again!

Pretty sure that there isn't a marketing segment on the stats wheel

Maybe the MGW money was going to finance it as well. Not really seen much of this chap but he does look blessed with pace, were gonna be bloody rapid!

As a side note I've seen some Wolves fans bleating that they're missing out on this guy and Batshuayi (Not sure of the spelling) as they were expecting both to lead the line for them, funny if we went for the latter just to wazz them off even more!

I thought batsushyi was going to be a top player at one point - not sure what his numbers are like in recent times? I'll have a look ...

Edit: decent though not in s great league. He's so nomadic it's difficult to judge, but I think he'd do well if he could settle somewhere.

Wow. Whats crazy is that if we do sign another attacking mid (Malinovskiy/MGW) we could actually have a bench that includes:

Dennis, Awoniyi, Hwang, Surridge, O’Brien, Kouyate, Colback, Biancone, Hennessy

Not bad that haha
Our strength in depth is growing significantly, assuming they come off.

When Park Ji Sung signed for Man U, you'd have some matches where the camera followed just him on Korean TV. Also his name is pronounced like uh-ee jo. It's easier to say we jo though. I'm interested to hear how Fray tackles his name if we sign him.

Park was a really interesting one. Ferguson played him in all the finals and big games - he was clearly a trusted asset in a purely football sense.

As well as a commercial asset, I always thought it unfair that some people thought he was picked for commercial reasons.
