Don’t see why he couldn’t do what Colback was doing on Saturday? Especially alongside Yates/Garner who can be more advanced.
I think Tyrese is a decent young footballer.
BUT with his style being very much a sitter are there concerns he can fit into the current system?

For me, no, as I think he’d fit well as a „1“ in front of the defensive three?
3-1-4-2 if you like. Especially away from home.
Don't you think Yates/Colback and Yates/Garner has been very interchangeable.
It seems like one CM always has the freedom to push forward when in the game situation. Whichever of the midfield 2 it is. Like Colback popping up on the RW on Saturday.
"It's an absolute privilege and an honour to extend my stay here.
"I have massive gratitude to everyone for really pushing to get this done and I'm delighted.
"It's a privilege to play for this club. I've basically grown up here in the academy and to have been in and around the first-team has been great, but I just want more and want to become a regular in the team."
Head coach Steve Cooper added: "We're delighted that Tyrese is committing himself to the club by extending his stay.
"It's now down to us as a football club to show a real commitment towards continuing Tyrese's development, with a plan to give him opportunities to play in our first-team in the coming years.
"He has shown a brilliant attitude in training and a real hunger to want to play games. We look forward to supporting him as best we can."
Yeah most likely, he was the best player on the pitch against Bradford, will be interesting to see if he has an impact in L1.This is very encouraging news. I fully expect Tyrese to go out on loan in January - preferably to a club challenging in League One.

Of the U23’s I have seen, Fornah is the stand out prospect.
If we are in the Championship again next season I predict he will be a major contributor.
If we are promoted, I think he will be sold in the summer.
The new contract probably has an eye on the second possibility as a way of upping the sale price.
Garner was signed to play as a playmaker in a 4-2-3-1 system, as part of the two.
Obviously hasn't quite worked out that way this season what with a shift to 3-4-3 with less of a need for that role, and then ending up as a #10 lately, but nevertheless that was the plan for him.
I think that will be the plan for Fornah next season, and I strongly suspect Colback will be let go because of that, as you'd then have Yates and Ojeda who are "busy" central midfielders who can play box to box, then you've got Fornah as a playmaker option (and Ojeda could potentially do this role too), and so the final piece of the jigsaw for me would a "destroyer" type central midfielder, who I used to think would be Yates but he seems to have morphed into something more more rounded, so we should aim to get an absolute unit like Sow.
That simply leaves no space for Colback, who whilst he's having a bit of a renaissance, is on expensive wages and isn't any better than those on half or a quarter of what he earns. So for me, he's an easy one to lose to ease wage burden and reallocate any money elsewhere, which of course is perhaps the route into the first team that Fornah needed to understand before signing the contract.
You're assuming Colback's contract runs out in the summer.
Dane/Coopers mantra is to blood the youth and I'm really surprised Fornah hasn't even had a seat on the bench this season let alone action on the pitch(bar the League Cup). I can only assume SC doesn't want to rock things too much while the going is good and promotion a possibility. A loan for the 2nd half of the season would be best, worked wonders for Brennan.
