Nottingham Forest’s Marcus Tudgay has extended his City Ground stay by another year.
The hard-working front man is currently in Portugal as part of Forest’s pre-season preparations, and he has now finalised a one-year contract extension.
After enduring a frustrating 2012-13 season, during which he broke his collarbone while on loan at Barnsley, some may have thought the ex-Sheffield Wednesday striker’s Trentside days were numbered.
But Billy Davies, who originally brought Tudgay to The City Ground in 2010, showed his faith in the 30 year old by handing him appearances against Cardiff City and Millwall following his recovery towards the end of last season.
Tudgay now has a full pre-season to impose himself on Davies’ first team plans.
