I lived in Wales from the age of 5-28, most of my mates are Welsh. I have a GSCE in Welsh and have some horrible Welsh accent sometimes. I could play for Wales if I was ever good at anything. Obvioulsy I am English and thats what I consider myself to be. So if any Englishman feels guilty or harsh laughing at Wales don't. They relish England losing at everything, they go to pubs to watch the major tourneys and when an opponent scores past England they celebrate it like a goal. I have had torture through the major tourneys over the years. I love all my mates but they hate English sports. Thats the way it is and will always be. So I implore everyone to laugh at Wales today and loudly. There is no point being the bigger person you may as well enjoy as you can cause its gonna come back to us x1000.

I make that point all the time…. United as well they chum. When it comes to English national teams besides cricket obvs they are like a rabid dog if we lose. In the 2010 World Cup when Green let the ball go through his legs I was in my local cricket club and all my mates and people in the club ruffled my hair like Aldridge did to Pearce. That’s a snapshot of what they are like.

I share you pain we lived in Wales from '93 to 2013 until we finally escaped to Cornwall. Unfortunately after 6 years 4 months and 12 days we were recaptured and taken back (also known as grandchildren) . Been back behind enemy lines 5 years next month another escape always possible

35 years and counting for me, and very familiar with the attitude Emmerson describes. While I am still very much an Englishman, I can't help but support them when they're playing anyone else, so a little gutted after last night.
