From the clip I got he was looking for his dad who was Polish and settled here after the war. He worked as head dyer at Giltbrook Cleaners and Dyers. His name was Peter, (probably Piotr). He saw him once but doesn't know his name.
He has a genealogical researcher helping him but they are looking for anyone who might be able to help.
I think that there was a chain of dry cleaners with the name butI don't know if they did the cleaning and dying in store or if they were collected, taken to other premises for the work to be done, then brought back to the shops for the customers to pick up. I seem to remember years ago dry cleaners offering 2 hour turn arounds, but whether that applied to dying too I have no idea.
Anyway if you can help I'm sure that he would appreciate it
I would think there might be clues in 50's/60's electoral roles if they still recorded occupations at that point. Even if they didn't if mighy be possible to narrow down possible candidates in the area assuming he used Piotr. Given they don't appear to be online it would be a long process probably.
Again assuming he used Piotr, if the money was available to do it start in the Basford registration district and check the marriage certificates of those with the first name Piotr and check the occupations recorded for the groom.
Of course it would be better if someone on here knew of someone called Piotr/Peter of Polish origin who worked for Giltbrook cleaners.
