Re: Tiago Silva

Is this that guy from Glastonbury in the nineties PSG shirt?

Re: Tiago Silva

YouTube can be deceptive but looks tidy. From the clips, looks more box to box than a 10. Interesting

Looks to have the vision and technical ability of Carvalho, the strength of Paul McKenna and the box to box drive of Guedioura...

It's a big fat yes from me.

But will probably be as ineffectual as Danny Sonner

Re: [BUPA] Tiago Silva

A piece wrote about him recently.

"Feirense’s number 10 showed his capabilities in the first match of this season, taking the ball down from outside the box and firing into the top corner, the opposition keeper only able to watch on as it flew by him, before then playing an inch-perfect delivery from a deep free-kick to assist the second goal of the game.
His keen eye for goal and exquisite passing range were summed up in that match alone, while he even showed the tenacity and desire fans look for in a player, tracking back to help defensively when required.
The 25 year old has the movement and dribbling ability one looks for in a playmaker, and deserves an opportunity at a higher level".

Looks technically gifted, proactive & able to move the ball at pace. Nice to see us linked with this type of player.

Lamouchi wants 8's at the base, from what little we've seen, this lad looks capable.

Just a hunch, but I foresee a season where we finally bring something at both ends of the pitch.

Exciting stuff.

Had a quick look at what some Portuguese fans think of him and apparently he's one of the best players outside the "Big 3" of Portuguese football.

Yes from me.

I'm on the same page here, this is exactly the type of signing I'd like to see from us. Rather than rotating the same old journeymen from the Championship. He seems to fit the bill, technically excellent, range of passing, pace and works hard.

Re: [BUPA] Tiago Silva

That's only a small clip, bit got some slight movements and turns that have a bit of a Gueddy feel to them. Just a more diminutive but also more dynamic.

Those clips show a player what we desperately need if it's what he does on a regular basis and can do it from an 8 position and deeper. That sort of play is what we need to bring Carvalho and Lolley into play.

Very excited about this one. Someone who could be on the same wavelength as Carv both technically, and linguistically.
