Sorry to harp back but can either of you provide evidence for this?

I would genuinely be interested to see it
As far as my post about Gamston being used as a red herring to try and pressure the city council at the time, not that I've actually checked online, but I'm not aware of any documentary evidence to confirm that. My info was purely conversational from speaking to a couple of people I know well who were close to John Croft and Alan Goodband.

Just to clarify, having done work for them I knew them both socially but not sufficiently well enough to be privy to their business dealings.

Ideally knock it down and build a new 3 tier 15,000 stand.
This isn't needed at the moment.
An upgrade in facilities is and if you extended the concourses , added more bars, restaurants (for matchday & private functions) you could do all of that for a couple of million.
I know you don't want to hear this - but people put up with it being slow to get out and the lack of legroom today and they will tomorrow.
I'm happy to hear all points of view and hopefully so do the owners.
People will put up with the slow exit and the moorish legroom? OK, but in 25 years time that stand will look like something from an old movie, and then it will have to be redone. I agree it can wait, but it will need sorting in due course.
Extended concourses I have already touched on. Another set of exit stairs would be extremely helpful. Those two things would help get people out more quickly and need not cost a fortune. Additional catering and toilet facilities could be added, and it is a job that could be done (some of it could) without too much disturbance to the use of the stand / reduced capacity..

Do you actually believe that Marinakis expects to make money from owning Forest? Really?

It would be significantly slower - and possibly even dangerous, for an extra 5,000 to get out though.
You have mis-understood - I am relating that to the stand as it is today - with cosmetic upgrades.
For sure - a new stand would need to be a complete new design meeting the safety requirements of today

I am not suggesting that we never build a new stand.
Just that it is priority number 3 after Main Stand and levelling off the Upper Bridgford.
We don't need to and can't do everything at once.
I would suggest in 4-5 yeards when the other 2 stands are built and full - if we are needing the extra capacity - up to 45k - that would be the time to do it

Well, what d'yow think iz eer for Oats? Kebabs?
Ray, have you never heard the old saying that "The only way to become a Millionaire Football Club Owner, is to start as a Billionaire"?
The clubs his plaything, not his pay-cheque (the shipping empire is) - but it probably helps him dodge a bit of tax.

Congz av got more oil in me lamp to not think that modern football clubs lose money hand over fist, it's a given. We ALL know every penny raised and every billions of debt goes straight into players and agents pockets. That's the real cancer.
I think EM's deluded, probably thinks that NFFC are going to be European Champions again.
Most owners as you say, treat clubs like a toy, an ego booster, elevate their status.
Lerrum gerron we it, silly bastards 😂

I only know it from our local paper (Hull daily mail) and they are absolutely despised / derided. I also know an old journo who was well respected and in the end drummed out. The whole organisation is an absolute joke littered with spelling and grammatical errors in every paragraph.
You could almost be talking about LTLF.....😮😆

Yes, that's the order. As I understand it, from Danny Taylor's recent chat with Chairman Tom, it's a bit more than levelling off the Bridgford, it involves and expansion, which makes sense because it is a shambles. That pushes the need for a rebuilt BC further down the line, but if we remain, rebuilt it will have to be at some future date, whether or not a capacity increase is required. The way the EPL is going I am not sure that the demand will exist!

The priority is getting the Peter Taylor stand rebuilt, which still looks years away, some five years after the plans were announced!

Anyone waiting for the Brian Clough stand to be rebuilt might be waiting a while I fancy
