Farmer Jack
Stuart Pearce
All Mcleish lovers/SO'D haters vs. SO'D lovers/McLeish haters debate in here.
SO'D pros:
1 point off the play-offs before getting sacked.
Players seemed to like him, any "bust ups" seemed to be productive or just rumours.
Capable of playing very good passing football (esp. Leeds)
Intelligent and professional individual.
Got good results whilst not playing particularly well.
Surprisingly decent defensive record for a time.
SO'D cons:
Worrying too much about the opposition.
Signed one or two decent players but backed them up with a bad signing.
No width.
Arguably too much tinkering.
Not quite enough passion.
McLeish pros:
Premiership and Championship experience.
Supposedly utilises more organised teams with tougher players as opposed to SO'D.
Haven't seen "his team" yet.
Passionate/more active during games.
More honest and authoritative (telling Camp to get lost etc.)
McLeish Cons:
Dull (just generally dull).
Conceding too many goals, have lost by conceding 3 goals 3 times already.
Uninspiring team selections, insipid displays to back this up.
Square pegs in round holes.
Win percentage in England must be getting low; fans of his previous two clubs aren't particularly glowing of him.
He's ginger, Forest don't do well with ginger managers.
Comes across as a yes man with owners.
Let the (un)civil war...continue.
