The sooner Reid is back, the better...

Some of you may remember I did some Reid stats a while back. Let's have a wee look at how those stats bear out now, these are all from the start of the 13/14 season.

Reid Starts:
34 Played, 18 Wins, 14 Draws, 2 Defeats (Win/Loss Percentage: 53%/6%)

Reid Doesn't:
38 Played, 5 Wins, 13 Draws, 20 Defeats (Win/Loss Percentage: 13%/53%)

2 defeats in 34 with him, 5 wins in 38 without him.

Cohen and Hobbs won't have helped either, but this is one player's performances spread over 17 months. Absolutely incredible.

We are so reliant on him, Hobbs and Cohen. They galvanise the rest of the team too. At least 2 are back or nearly back but the others have to start pulling their weight too which they haven't been

Don't want to get anyone overexcited, but there's an U21s game today and Nottm Post said he had a slim chance of making Derby.

Surely he couldn't play against Derby without getting minutes today.

He may be back...

Sadly, we're a long way away from Reid being the difference between losing to Derby and getting a result.

Don't rush him back, one more setback could be the end of the man. He's far too important to rush.

Even if he's back for Derby he'll still need 3-5 games/weeks to get going I rek.

Just hope Pearce has the time to utilize him. If we're getting bummed after him & Hobbs are back up to speed, then we aew f**ked.

I wouldn't risk him in the Derby game anyway. You just know they'll try and kick the shit out of him and leave him injured for the rest of the season.

I hoped he's not risked for Derby unless he's ready. Having him for the rest of the season is more important than one game.

Even more impressive is how we managed to win games with him playing at the start of the season when he was actually playing pretty rubbish and looked ineffectual. Shows how influential quality players can be, even when they don't look like it to the average fan (see also Danny Fox  )

"No pressure Reidy mate, just carry the entire under-performing squad on your shoulders, because you are our last hope of turning the season around."

He best be in the form of his life when he returns as there are a lot of people pinning an awful lot of hope on the guy.

But we have to.

With the seemingly current pathetic efforts shown by many of the squad, he's our only hope to salvage something from this season - even if that something is nothing more than a bit of professional pride.

I thought you may have been worrying unnecessarily when you posted those stats earlier in the season. Turns out not. Which is a worry for the future because Andy Reid is approaching 33 already.

If ever there were an argument for repealing the laws against human cloning, A. M. Reid is that argument.

"Reid...to Reid...a lovely through-ball....squared to Reid...GOAL!! GOAL FOR FOREST!! Sensational football by Andy Reids!"

Remember calls to drop him!

He can be anonymous for 89 min (rarely is like) and still be the man to put in a quality ball or shot.

Sadly I don't think Pearce will get time to utilize him at full fitness.

reid Is amazing. but even he alone wont be able to hold up the other 9 outfield players. they really need to start working hard, chase down balls, put their body on the line and WORK AS A TEAM. we seem to be a bunch of individuals...

There's no way I'd rush Reid back against Derby, because you risk him getting injured, or the disappointing reality that not even Reid can save us from a thrashing.

Reid coming back wouldn't make much of a difference tbh. This team without him should still be enough but god knows what SP & his team is doing during training.
