The Sky 'scout' loves Raddy too.

but the Reds have first option on Majewski and Davies is expected to do all he can to tie the youngster down on a permanent deal.

There's that first refusal thing mentioned again.. I hope it's true.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but couldn't find the article on the official site for some reason... I remember it clearly stated we have first refusal, I assumed we paid quite a high loan fee to have this clause in.

Lets just hope that Raddy wants to stay then and hasn't just used us to push his name around English clubs

most pertinent part of that article...

Patience certainly paid off for Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2009 when they landed Majewski on a season-long loan deal from Polonia Warsaw.

The Polish midfielder had been a target for the Reds 12 months earlier, with former boss Colin Calderwood keen to bring him on board after guiding the club back into the Championship

So they rate him a fraction better than Wilshere but value him at £13m less than the Englishman at present, then £50m less than him in the future!!!!! No wonder the Premiership is full of Johnny-Foreigners with stupid valuations like that.

Didn't know where to put this but the bbc just now

2141: Alan Hutton meets a cross from the Spurs left to the back post with such a sweetly struck volley, but it flies a yard or two past the angle of post and crossbar. It was like watching Raddy Majewski, except it didn't go in

Hardly , if i remember correctly , the loan fee was only around 150,000 euros.

Well this pours icy piss all over the bonfires of those who think we can consolidate and go up next season or the one after. We'll get cleared out of our best players and end up with Joe Kinnear and League 1 again.

This same sky scout valued Lewis at a potential £15m...

All I can conclude is that this is why we rejected Newcastles £6.2m bid for Perch as derisory.

We live in a country where the price of imports is always cheaper...

Hence why none of the 'big' clubs tend to buy the better English players.

You just have to look at people like Michael Turner. Sunderland paid Hull about £7million for him and he's nowhere near England quality.

With all the home grown player rules the talented English youngsters will become even more expensive as well.

Maybe we should stop hoovering up all the foreign talent up which is probably wrecking budding over seas leagues and bringing down their standards.

If there aren't enough amazing English players, then shock horror, not every team can be amazing at once. The standards might slip, but things'd be more competitive.

The only problem I can see with the media interest in Raddy is that it'll ramp his price up something terrible when we come to try & sign him.

I think the fee is already agreed with Polonia? It'll probably ramp up his contract demands though...

Personally, I think he'll still be happy with Marthur's original offer of 200 tonnes of potatoes, a years supply of kiełbasa and all the barszcz he can eat.

I'd suspect if he pushes for any extras as a result of his recent for, he'll be holding out for pierogi, flaczki, gołąbki and oscypek in varying quantities.
