Brentford have got Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City coming up in their next 4 games with West Ham being the other.

Think they will only get 3pts

Can easily see Brentford getting dragged into it, they're only one point above Palace and us and have tough fixtures coming up
Yes-but they have to face Sheffield United and Burnley yet and aren’t staring down the
barrel of a points deduction (which is the case with Forest and Everton).
I’d be very surprised if they’re in serious trouble in May.

Really shouldn't have lost to Bournemouth, Brentford or Newcastle in that list either. Frustrating. Arsenal battered us tbf, but we still managed to keep it to just the one goal.
Arsenal's last 5 league games : -

Burnley W 5-0
West Ham W 6-0
Liverpool W 3-1
Forest W 2-1
Palace W 5-0

They were way too good for us in reality, but a Turner mistake cost us a point. We did alright.

Getting more points than Luton isn't going to be easy, based on the way they carried the game to Man U after going two goals down
Luton are the surprise package and in any other season I would wish them well, however concerned about points deduction. Think we could survive 6 points at a push, but anything more than that we are are down. Saying that if Barkley gets injured for any length of time then they are truly stuffed. If they go down we could do far worse then getting Adebayo in as number 2 striker for the games when Awoniyi is injured

Would make for a good thread title anyway,

Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo (born 7 January 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Luton Town.

I think being behind Bournemouth is currently annoying me as much as anything. Ok we might yet get a points deduction but at least we probably only have ourselves to blame for that. Bournemouth currently being 4 points ahead of us still just feels like a rip off.

2 things in particular count against us - the likely points deduction and we’ve played all of our easiest home games (winning virtually none of them).

We also rely heavily on a couple of players, although other teams do too

Luton are shit

We'll finish well above them on points attained no question

We could still get relegated with some insane points penalty but no chance we're not finishing above Luton on points actually attained

Palace are the club most at risk. If they get nothing from the next two games (Everton A / Burnley H) they have a horrific run of fixtures:

Spurs A
Luton H
Newcastle H
Forest A
Bournemouth A
City H
Liverpool A
West Ham H
Fulham A
United H
Wolves A
Villa H
Don't think that's any worse than ours - especially given the two teams they play next.

We really needed to beat them at their gaff. Was such an opportunity missed to put them right in the mixer.

Palace at 6/1 is insane and must be based on the assumption that both us and Everton are going to lose points due to FFP

Luton are on course for 32 points finish.
Forest and Everton are on course for 36 point finish (adjusted for 10 points penalty already), but both may have further points taken off them.

Based on that, Palace probably only need to win 3 more games from their final 14, winning 4 would keep them up probably in 95%+ of permutations. They've got Burnley and Luton at home in 2 of their next four fixtures so they might just need one or two wins from their final 10 games by that point.

6/1 seems about right. It's less generous odds than the actual probability of them going down but that's how the bookies make their money after all.

Can’t work out what I’m hoping for tonight? Is any result particularly bad for us. Ideally we’d keep Everton at bay, given FFP punishment set to impact both us and them?
