The Relegation Dogfight 23/24

I've fixed that for you; Rocka isn't as fully raven headed as he used to be as a yoth and Bonfy has a beautiful, flame red afro.

It's important to get these things right. Those lads deserve it and hope to see them back soon.

Fair enough, Ashley. Was referring to the consistent predictions that Luton will win every week, not aimed specifically at you, there are plenty bigging them up constantly.

They've lost three in a row. Don't think we've managed that yet, have we?
We lost 4 in a row under Steve - West Ham, Brighton, Everton and Fulham - and 3 in a row under Nuno - Villa, Liverpool and Brighton.

I can see us finishing 19th now. It doesn't matter what we do, we just can't win close games, It's always one of these 3 that stops us winning a game that could go either way. Poor finishing, Awful refereeing decisions, or Defensive Howler. Unless we blitz Sheffield United, Chelsea or Burnley. we will lose them all if the game is pretty equal. ☹️

We will not lose another game this season

Forest will get relegated not because they play well and lose at home to Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and the like but because they turn into utter dogshite against the likes of Everton, Luton, Sheffield, Burnley and Bournemouth home and away.
This is definitely my fear.

Just turn it on against those lesser teams like we have against the bigger ones, and we'll be fine.

But do we have the gumption for it?

That game gives me hope we can get points against Chelsea.

Beat the blunts, and we're odds on there, and get something against Chelsea and we should go into the final game with our fate in our own hands and against an already relagated team.

Far too many ifs, and or buts in that to give me loads of confidence, though.

I actually fancy us to get something against Chelsea. It's the away games that worry me!

If only our away performances could match our home performances.
I'm totally with this.

Today shows just how much better we are at home. Chlesea have only won away once this year too.

Got to take them to task.

In any other season, we could be reasonably confident of getting something from our remaining games, but this season is anything but normal. It will go down to the wire.

Twists and turns still waiting to trip us up. Oh, me heart!!

It’s not though, is it

Kinda is.

If we don't beat Sheff Utd then it lumps huge pressure on the Chelsea game to try and avoid going into final game needing to win. Imy not sure the team have the bollocks to recover from a Sheff Utd set back frankly.

But if we beat them we could be three clear of Luton and more so still Vs Burnley, and then you go into final two games knowing one win will definitely keep you up, but even if you don't get it you might be ok anyway.

Sheff Utd definition of a must win for me. I think it determines whether we stay up this season or not.

I know what you mean, but it is not the definition of a must win game. We can lose it and still stay up. It is literally not a must win game.

Nothing ever is unless it's mathematical if you look at it that way but for me 'must win' is about probabilities and routes to success.

Sheff Utd isn't a mathematical must win obviously but I think it's the game that determines our season.
