Was very touristy and diverse today.

Only objection I have is the woman who sat in Front of me reading Man Utd pages on facebook at half time. If I'd have had a hot bovril, it would have been strategically spilled.
There were lots of Dad's taking their kids for the first time today, a pity we couldn't complete a comeback win to give them some great memories. Was good to see a big crowd.

A really poor performance, the first half especially which was ponderous & filled with sloppy touches & lazy errors. The second half was much better but I expected a bit more of an onslaught considering the team we had out.

Montiel put in a nice ball for Dominguez's goal but I'm not sure he did anything right apart from that. Toffolo was just as bad & along with Murillo lost out everytime Blackpool hit the long ball down our left. I think Tavares was bought on to deal with Gabriel who was Blackpool's biggest threat & won just about everything in the air.

Vlach continues to offer absolutely no confidence. Maybe I'm harsh but I'd really like a GK to step forward and take that cross for the first goal. It's swinging into him and dropping inside the back post around 5 yards out. Much easier for him to catch/punch than it is for Montiel to deal with (although no excuse, it was a terrible header). Not sure where he was going for the 2nd either and he did his best to spill a simple take in the 2nd half.

I'm not sure Yates or Danilo have the game to play that 'Neves' role dropping inbetween the CB's. Yates doesn't seem to have the ability or the confidence to play the difficult pass forward, whereas Danilo plays the odd nice ball but is just a bit too messy with his technique at times. I'm surprised Mangala wasn't given a run.

Dominguez picked up another goal and his movement in the box is fantastic. Every week he pops up in one or two goalscoring positions, which is essential in a team that has been so reliant on one or two goalscorers since promotion. He's probably not a natural out wide but you've just got to get him on the pitch right now. Hudson Odoi was absent in the first half but was one of our better performers in the 2nd, he looks like he's lost the yard of pace that made him such an exciting prospect but he uses the ball well & looks a threat when we get him involved.

Gibbs White had another good game & took his goal brilliantly. Hopefully he's now remembered how to strike a ball properly & can continue picking up regular goals. He had to drop deep/wide a little too often as we struggled to get the ball to him in the '10' position but he was always positive and played some lovely passes & was unlucky not to get an assist or two. Wood had a poor game, didn't offer enough when the ball went into him & missed a couple of good chances.

A replay is annoying but frankly, having 3 games in January wasn't enough & I'd have been bored otherwise, so I'll take it.

There will be some kids who have just seen their first ever Forest goal at the WFCG.

Mine was Tommy Gaynor from the old Bridgford
Took my lad first time today- first experience of seeing a live Forest goal. Unfortunately we were near some absolute bells upper Trent End- couldn’t really see exactly what happened but looked like middle aged blokes throwing punches and then this continued with further tensions etc. There were lots of children around me-some were in tears. I Mit be wrong but the position of the seats are likely to people who don’t come regularly. It was embarrassing and for a load of kids watching, that incident is likely to the memory they took away from the game.

Helps that Yates always loves heading directly into the keeper. I swear if Yates just was a little better at heading he’d have something like 6 or 7 goals to his name a season.

You could say it's the only thing missing from his game

I've only just seen the highlights - Jesus wept, how does Yates fail to score that header. On a plate.

Would be nice if he was a little more confident going forward and with the ball but yeah essentially that’s it.

That is so disappointing to hear. I sat in my usual seat in the Lower Trent End and I would say that two-thirds of those around me were newcomers. That said, no problems and surprisingly little moaning. I would hope that the club don't ignore what happened in the Upper TE and investigate and act on this.

incident was near cameras which were on side of stand so you’d hope the incident and culprits were captured clearly. I think several of them were taken out of the ground anyway but they now need to be banned. I feel for stewards as not sure what powers they have-can they physically escort someone out of ground. Surely if punches are thrown which they were then Police should have been contacted and arrests to take place?

Just re-watched the highlights. Vlach was awful on both their goals. Ditto Montiel. Truly shocking from both of them. No idea what Montiel was thinking on goal one. MGW has really elevated his game since Nuno took over. Like two levels, maybe even three. CHO, from the limited highlights, looked very good. But we had better be looking closely for a keeper in the window. If Turner continues howlers we have a huge problem.

Monkman

Grenville Morris
I think if Turner had played we would have won 2-1. He'd have saved their first goal and cut out the cross on the second, but would have scored a comical own goal with a ricochet off his own standing foot heel in a panicked attempt to clear.

Missed the game but rounding up from what I've seen and heard we could have won 4-2 any other day. 72% possession !
At least Shane Richie mentioned Forest beating Man U at the Panto

Sorry to hear that Larry - some folks shouldn’t be allowed out. Mrs took our lad who said none of the usual folk were around where we sit (lower Trent end). Bloke a few seats along had obviously had too many beers or something stronger and insisted on commentating on the game at the top of his voice using the c word as punctuation. loads of kids around whose parents got fed up but luckily he disappeared second half. You expect a bit of language at the game but this was completely over the top.
