Bristol played some nice football in both games, knocked it about nicely, better than us for large parts. Watching them against Leeds last week at their place they never really got going as Leeds pressed with intensity and just didn't allow them time to knock it around and gain confidence. This is constantly by biggest gripe with us, we don't play with high energy and get tight enough to the opposition allowing them to move the ball far to easily which has cost us plenty of goals.

I bet Leeds played their best possible team apart of injuries.

For the most part we aren’t seeing this lineup ever again unless we got absolutely annihilated by injuries.

We always look jaded, seldom press, and give opponents lots of time space to play.
As for stopping the cross… Cloughie would be devastated.

I mean, Nuno could have adapted his tactics to omit the need for someone in that role for 1 cup game, but either way it's done now and I'm just hoping that MGW's excessive minutes don't come back to bite us in the arse like overplaying Wood has.
Who would you have played instead of Wood for that stretch of games?

Last night early in the second half it was obvious we were playing for the draw and that was proved by getting 5 out of 5 it shows we practiced more for the draw and that's what the players went out to do

Full match and penalties.
No commentary.
I watched just to see how Gardner did.
He did alright.

Hopefully a gem for the very near future.

I will say this after watching the full game a couple of times Tavares is not a left back or wing back.
He should be playing in midfield as an attacking midfielder IMHO who can tackle.

I want him to do really well because his post match interview is one of the best interviews from one of our youngsters.
It wasn't polished but it was just full of unbridled joy.

You do it see it with some young players of other clubs and some of our own over the years where they actually seem like they know what to say and how to say it after going through all the media training. Nothing wrong with that but the honesty of his love for the club showed.

Just look at his face and his body language and how he says everything.
Even at 50 I think I would act the same.

I would say watch him 1:38:30 onwards.
Made himself available.
Instant control and pass with two touches and then goes up the field and takes the pass out and shoots.

He is quite tall which does not come across in his interview.
