The World Club Champions game in Tokyo in 1981?Except for one famous match - can anyone guess it? You’ve got 3 mins before I hit the boozer.
Beat me to it by seconds,Steve! You’re all too slow, it was the 1980-81 World Cup Final (known by others as the Intercontinental Cup). That isn’t the shirt, but Lazza did play and had Lloyd on his back.

Did the losers receive the eternally retained tinpot?
I don't think I can go.I am now, obviously, at some point going to have to make a special trip from Germany to this Forest Museum, the complete and utter bastards.
Does anyone know what the aims of the museum are?
As well as having the tangible stuff from the seventies onwards surely it must inform about the early days of the clubs - the founders, the early players like Sam Widdowson, Tinsley Lindley and the Forman brothers, particularly Frank's long association with the club.
I also hope Forest finally acknowledge the legend and innovator that was Sam Weller Widdowson.I hope Arthur Grenville Morris gets a look in somewhere.
Indeed, and Tinsley Lindley. Horace Pike as the scorer of our first League goal is surely worth a mention too.I also hope Forest finally acknowledge the legend and innovator that was Sam Weller Widdowson.

Wolves sold one of theirs in at auction in 2019 It fetched £320.
I've mentioned on here before that Jesse Pye who scored two goals in that final for Wolves came to our school in the late 50s when he was manager of Wisbech scouting for players. For some reason, he overlooked me.Wolves sold one of theirs in at auction in 2019 It fetched £320.
Wolves tea pot celebrating FA Cup win to be sold at auction

I think ours would fetch more, don't you?
I guess if you have a cup you need something to fill it from.I've mentioned on here before that Jesse Pye who scored two goals in that final for Wolves came to our school in the late 50s when he was manager of Wisbech scouting for players. For some reason, he overlooked me.
I had not realised that every team winning the cup got a celebratory teapot, how odd that tradition. And the fact that in all the years I've been playing and following football, I'd never heard of it. Of course, I knew about ours, but thought that was a one-off.
