He was fantastic again yesterday.

Such a good reader of the game, he seems to have the ability to simply snuff out danger before it develops into a chance.

And it's another fantastic piece of business by the club.

He made it look so easy yesterday sweeping up everything alongside the also impressive Fox.
Don't tell anyone, but he's too good for the Championship.

What is funny, is that when we signed him, there were people complaining

Another great move by the boss, well done Psycho :)

Played well yesterday. And a massive upgrade on Collins.. £500k is a steal too.
I'm also loving the fact that should Hobbs, Wilson and Lascelles continue to pick up injuries we have this sort of quality in reserve.
That's not to say that they will come back into the team when fit of course. It's his shirt to lose.
I can't remember us having such a balanced, in depth squad for a very long time.
Happy days.

I'm not sure the injured trio of Centre Backs can displace Michael Mancienne at the moment.

For me, it's Mance plus one other at the moment.

This. Easily.

It's great to have such an embarrassment of riches in defence.

Mancienne is just so comfortable to watch, especially when there's a long ball heading for our half and you can see him gearing up to challenge an opponent to head it away you know he'll be first to it.

Mancienne and Hobbs is our best pairing IMO, and should really be the starting CB's when everyone is fit.

Wilson is just too injury prone and Lascelles is no longer our player so should only really be back up. Mancienne has looked excellent so far, and a real class above what we have seen from Wilson or Lascelles in Red shirts so far IMO.

At some point Mancienne will probably be paired with Vaughan in the midfield holding roles...looking forward to that!

He could also play instead of Vaughan with Lansbury.

Options, options, options....
No more square pegs in round holes.

Said in another thread that Mancienne is the closest we have to an England international. Too good for the championship. Has to be our year to go up to keep this group together.

Agree with all the platitudes. Possibly the first truly 'modern' footballer we have had. Agile, pacey, intelligent, composed and intelligent. Almost a hybrid style footballer in many ways in that his size belies the way and position he plays. Think he'd slot well into that dm role too.

Class personified. Took him 15 minutes to figure that big fella up top, but after that he was fantastic.

This lad should be playing in the Prem, top class on and off the ball. Will never get huge plaudits because he is quiet and just gets on with his business. Those years in Germany has made him incredibly efficient. That challenge in the 1st min was something else.

Indeed.

Watch it back, and you notice him reading the threat from May before Palmer went past Lichaj. Hes the most Des like defender I've seen since Des.
