The Matt Derbyshire 12 goal bet

So, toward the start of the season Matt Derbyshire was being discussed down the pub.

Maybe foolishly I had a little wager that he would score 12 goals this season, league and cup goals count.

Am I crazy or do you think there's value in the bet?

Don't see why not. He gets in the right areas to get goals and on the end of loose balls. If he gets enough game time it's easily doable.

I had a similar bet, but 10 league goals only. I was gutted when Hendo got booked for diving rather than getting the pen, Derbyshire ran over and grabbed the ball . He still has a chance if we don't get someone on loan.

Omg what a diabolical decision that was, clear penalty and then the second one Hendo should of got. Should of had 3 penalties and won 5 2 haha

It was on the back of a strong preseason, which made it more appealing.

Yeah that was good thinking! Wish I had, mine was based on his pre-season form, the fact that he was taking pens, and that we'd be playing with genuine wingers. Hasn't really happened, but now Abdoun is looking the part maybe he'll get some chances.
