The Joe Lolley Retirement

Re: Joe Lolley used to deserve a good ball-cupping

I doubt even having Matty back would help Joe at the moment. He really looks like he can't run for more than 30 seconds before getting pain. (And it is pain which needs total rest as well). Speaking as someone who has occasionally had painful shins/lower legs when running (especially on harder surfaces) it can come on really quickly and won't run or wear off unless you rest it totally (though my calves used to get really tight which probably didn't help).

You could have Roberto Carlos behind him and Lolley would still have the substance of a wet fart at a funeral.

Certainly doesn't look right but I thought he did alright tonight. Was nice to see someone look to play the ball forward.

Just a pity there is nobody other than the opponent's keeper forward of him

Be nice to get him the ball around the box more than 15 miles away with 62 players to beat

One of the symptoms of Cashy going is we miss that double act down the right, they worked with each other fantastically.
Kills me to say this but he wouldn't make the 23s at the moment.
I think being over 23 wouldn't help his cause there?

The problem is he wants to take all 62 on, twice, and then do something with the ball...

Taylor teed him up with a great cross, in line with the front post, 6 yards out, and makes a complete hash of it.

He's shot to shit. f*** him off with Hughton in a taxi. Way too many players have gone to Forest to use the physios and medical teams. It would be handy to have some go to forest to play football.
Think he's in cahoots with fryatt. Free Toyota not to be sniffed at

Re: Joe Lolley used to deserve a good ball-cupping

This muscle condition he has apparently gets worse the more he plays, hence his performances progressively deteriorate... to be fair to Lolley it took him longer to succumb to it than most player’s we’ve signed. The ink wasn’t dry on the contract before some players became completely incapacitated by it.

Yes, the surgery is the only thing which actually cures it and that involves removing some of his legs to relieve the pressure, so maybe not the best thing to do to an elite athlete.

Otherwise it's just a case of managing the pain, stopping when it flares up, and maybe not using it so much to slow down the flareups.

Probably explains why we got him for so little as he had it all the time he was at Huddersfield as well as why no-one has really come in for him even when he was tearing up the division a couple of years back. It's potentially at the stage where even resting it for several weeks isn't going to make much difference.

How many legs has he actually got? If he's got a surplus he should be fine.

This must be how 'Jake the Peg' got his extra leg. When I was a kid my parents wouldn't explain to me how Jake had three legs. ;)

What muscle condition is this?.
Sounds very fishy to me, I’m a Dr and I’m wracking my brains to think of something that fits this description

Well Joe had it at Huddersfield as well, his injections clearly either take a while to work or haven't done as well this time.
